I enjoy watching your vids. Learning so much, gel can be hard trying to control due to my inexperience. What I need is more practice to the point that I'm comfortable controlling gel and achieve whatever look I'm trying to do. I also bought your gel kit for my grandaughter so that she can create her own nails for herself, and maybe even her friends.

Applying Protein Bond after the nail is completed is done for a couple of reasons. It smooths out and fills in any little scratches you may have from filing and buffing. It really increases the clarity of glitter and clear cap so that when you apply the top coat it's crystal clear. It also prevents any gel products, such as gel polish or top coat, from pulling away from the cuticle area or chipping. I love Protein Bond and it makes a big difference in the finished product! @youngnailsinc ok cause I was taught base i only needed on natural nails before polish So that's why I was wondering if it is for added adhesion I guess all lines are different I'd be curious to test that with one hand using base before hard gel and one without and compare nail retention

Protein bond is a non acid primer.. it doesn’t chemically etch the nail like a traditional primer does. Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product. Here is a video on Protein Bond & how to use it: ua-cam.com/video/GY8KvVKJlQE/v-deo.html
Silk nails are not a product we carry, but most likely, you would prep just as you would any other enhancement (push back cuticles, remove shine, cleanse)

So I have builder gel in cover pink but I have white in polygel. Could I use poly gel for the tip?

Base gel is the base you need for our synergy gel (hard gel) line similar to using a base coat before gel polish.
