My v30 dropped off the top of the treadmill, i stepped on it, and it launched off of the treadmill belt onto my concrete garage floor. No damage 🙅 😂😂😂

I would agree. The v30 is incredible. Good battery life, great camera, durable, looks good and nice form factor. It's really an amazing device
TrueRay is underrated because LG is garbage and can't even design a descent display, camera, or a good ui, is like a kid designed it.

This is a clear advantage for the LG. It has drop resistance (mill certificate). It would have been the CLEAR winner for 2017 if it had a better selfie cam and a slightly better screen (it's not as bad as the Pixel 2XL)

Michael Adel marketing. LG is not Samsung's competitor, Apple is. Therefore it's obvious that Samsung wants to go toe to toe with Apple in the camera department and doesn't care about LG's features since LG phones aren't as well known as iPhones and don't even sell in large quantities. Even if the wide angle lens is better it's not as appealing to the masses as the iPhone's portrait mode and Samsung does not want to fall behind in the public eye.

LG is nothing to Samsung because they practically have no market share. It's not in Samsung's best interest to compete with them because whatever little market share they could get from LG would be insignificant.

V30's back is very stronger than the Note 8's glass back. But Note 8's front gets very less damages compared to the V30 in front drop.And that is more important.
Priyabrata Saha if you look at the front drop test again the V30 fell completely flat on its face while the Note 8 kinda rattled absorbing some of the shock. This is why the Note 8 had less damage because the drop test on the Note 8 for whatever reason wasn't perfect.

The glass breaking had nothing to do with the camera not working. The impact of the phone is what caused it. I don't care what case you have, your phone will always experience some sort of shock when hitting the ground, and I would much rather have a phone that has functional parts after I drop it. I'm not saying the Note 8 is a bad phone, I'm just saying that the V30 is more durable.

i regret not using one now I dropped by 6s plus in the nightclub the other night and the floor just happened to be concrete where i was standing (beside the Dj) It fell and looks like it hit the side but the whole screen is smashed to bits and the lcd has black dots all over it. I had the phone for two years and kept the screen perfect and this one drop just totally destroyed it.

The AOD display problem you had, would be down to the ambient light sensor not working correctly. If the ambient light sensor is covered on my phone, the AOD is disabled, and I cannot unlock it - the same on the G6.

The wide angle camera on the v30 doesn't have adjustable focus. It's set to infinity and has everything in focus.
