Been waiting for a collab from them since they XXL freestyle. They was grouped together they year and absolutely killed it, same thing happened on the song too

The problem with albums like this is the clashing styles of everyone working on it. You're not gonna pair eminem with Chief keef in a million years, yet he did it. The album was less of an album and more of a collection of songs
I think that's the beauty of it, we can't judge a compilation album the same way we judge a solo artists album.
edit: or a producer's album (they tend to have a consistent sound and incorporate artists that would complement that.)

I think this is a great album actually I think it has a lot of collabs that are fun and I'm shocked that people aren't talking about it more actually I've heard it a couple times.

He literally promoted it for 7 months maybe even longer. Released singles with videoclips all stylized same. I knew for months literally if you watched Lyrical Lemonade channel last year you would know too :D :D It is kinda good but it doesn't work as album for me. Its just like bunch of random songs but some of them are really good
Honestly agree, not a perfect album but it has a handful of great songs that I added to my rotation.
With The Fish is an outdated SoundCloud type track but that’s kinda why I like it. Takes me back to 2016 for a lil minute 😂

I think the rollout was too weak cole is a director with a huge platform he could've made an album trailer atleast also I dont think any of the artists on the album said anything about it. When i first saw the music videos with the suits and yellow theme i was confused but eventually just assumed it was for a lyrical lemonade project, it was never clearly marketed
im going to say that the roll out was pretty decent , he was promoting this for a good few months, i follow him on the gram soo i could be biased cause i dont follow alot of people but it was clear, too much music is in our faces 24/7 cant catch everything

Me personally, I think Cole should’ve attempted a album concept movie like Pink Floyd’s The Wall or Daft Punk’s Interstellar 5555, where every song on the album had its own music video that were all connected to be like a full movie
This guy is probably booked an entire year in advanced for music videos. Would be virtually impossible to slip this many artists and videos into his schedule and then also direct and produce them, not to mention pay for it all, no where near worth it or practical. Especially as most of these songs will not be promod as singles.

I think a 2018 lyrical lemonade album would’ve been fire BUT this one happening now is necessary for Lyrical Lemonade and the larger rap scene as a whole. I know Cole Bennett doesn’t want to end up like something like Genius
Didn’t listen to the album till right now and listening to “This My Life” gave me nostalgia and goosebumps. Skies and Tecca both going back to their original sounds is what we need. They’ve both kinda fallen into that mainstream sound trying to get streams and that’s why they are falling off. It wasn’t their best piece of work but it’s a step in the right direction for both of them and I really hope they continue. Especially Skies

You honestly articulated how I’ve been feeling about this album so well. I also super agree on your point of, had this happened in 2018/2019 with the roster you rattled off, it would’ve been something for the history books for sure! All in all I’m not mad at the project at all!
That herbo babytron track and the opener is too cold.. the rest of it was a fun experience.. thrack with chief is a fun listen as well.

A lot of over analyzing and over thinking from the community. What is difficult is when helloyassine said his view of the album was tainted before listening to it, when he heard negative opinions from people he DOESN’T care about it.
If you’re in tune with the community from when a lot of this music started (no not finding out about Lyrical Lemonade last year), then you should appreciate the fact that this album is even possible. Cole Bennet is the individual to make this possible and make this happen.
This is a piece of art you have to respect period. Unless you’re not a supporter of Hip Hop in general, then focus on your genre of preference.🌎‼️
tbh i really enjoyed the singles leading up to it, obviously juice with doomsday, im from the UK so loved the dave song but the bars probably went over americans heads with the accent and lingo. I think it flopped because the sound in general is that of a few years ago and people are quick to hate on something if it isn’t experimental or trendy right now. I didn’t love the album but i liked 4/5 songs in total and i’d listen to another album like this, i’d rather a friday with this dropping than a friday with nothing
Im actually proud to have met Cole Bennett it was at one of my friends parties/event for a clothing line at his store Congruent Space in Chicago. Since I was cool with the owner of the store he let me in the party since there was a list to get in and I was drunk af and saw Cole and walked up to him and we talked he was really cool.
What Rick Rubin said is pretty much the major factor in every failed project in entertainment. Movie producers, Artistes etc are mainly concerned about what the audience would like instead of just putting out a solid piece of work regardless of how it unfolds.
Loved this review bro I have seen a lot of hate on the project but I generally think if this dropped in 2016 it would have so much more love still good though.

When he posted 6 dogs on the all is yellow insta I was so hyped
he's been teassing the album for about a year and a half now, Cole originally said it was meant to drop in 2022 summer/fall then kept pushing it back untill he offically dropped the first track of the album, "doomsday". He's also stated that he made the album up of music he enjoys and music that the fans aren't gonna be too crazy about it

while I don't think there was any really bad songs on this album, I did find most of them to be just okay, all my favorite songs off the album were the songs released as singles before, (besides with the fish) I don't dislike this album but i probably wont be coming back to it anytime soon

For me I feel like every single project for a year or 2 from any artist I’m excited for is a letdown in some way or another. It’s like I enjoy the anticipation of waiting for a project to drop as opposed to actually enjoying it.

No one can really say whether this album is good or bad. It’s just a collection of songs with artists whose two worlds wouldn’t usually collide. Enjoy it for what it is. I think the most important part is the visuals that will take place as cole is a director after all. So far he’s killed it.

I mean. To sum up the video. You liked the album because you read bad reviews so you went in with low expectations and wasn’t let down. But if everyone was saying this is the best album in 10 years and you listened to the same exact album you’d say there’s a few good songs but it’s mid it’s trash no way it deserves all the love it’s getting.
