First time I saw Bette was at The Baths. I lived on the other side of Central and it was a 20 minute walk to this great show that cost $10-$20. I adore The Divine Miss M. Many great contributions beyond the music and acting.
A few years after The Baths, in LA, it cost $110 for a memorable NYE Performance at the Dorthy Chandler.
Then months later an equally inspiring concert with Melissa at Universal Amphitheater.
Two outstanding talented women.

I personally liked the tweet and am tired of dope addicted rural Appalachian people living on the government & their vote have outsized political influence.

@@ains7327 Since it's not true, no I wouldn't say it. WV (& KY) take significantly more in federal budget than they contribute in revenue and their politicians have an outsized influence for their teeny tiny size, and total lack of contributions to the country. These states are dying yet somehow get to dictate our national agenda.

Hey, you people from WV, there are people from all over the world reading these comments on Bettes honors. Can't you take your personal discussions to twitter, where they belong and say something about her life work and how it has affected you? I love Bette from long ago eighties movies and bought some music from the nineties and caught up on her life and work on youtube later. The rainbow community in Munich have celebrated and impersonated her lovingly ever since the eighties and I love her Las Vegas Show. So she is part of my life and I'm glad to be her contemporary. The same with Sting or Johnny D. or Julie Andrews. She too has been accused of misbehaviour, but today this is forgotten and she is the goddess of the media (and rightly so) Whats all this about? Complaints about something Bette said from a country that only recently got rid of a person who misbehaved every single second of his life and received unbelievable accolations for it from half of the country? Be reasonable and say something nice or nothing at all, thats the way to 'World Peace' XD
Don’t be a Karen. Free speech is always a learning tool to the open minds who listen. It doesn’t matter if it’s false or true, negative, positive, lovely or hateful…we need to freely choose with our minds what we allow in them! Because only Love 💕 can conquer hate and comments are learning moments to expose it!
Remember…Bette too has said a lot of negative and hurtful things in her past…some she has asked forgiveness. Let’s not get on a soap box but instead stand beside each other as humans

That practicing 24/7 precautions AIDS in lessening the spreading of Covid-19/variants. All viruses are deadly. I remember seeing you on your own going about Greenwich Village, Manhattan in the 1970's when you lived on Barrow Street. I remember seeing your concert at Radio Music Hall in 1992 or was it 1993? Us Sagittarius just turned older. 😊 Almost forgot...I remember the Continental Baths. I worked there briefly, soon after you & Barry finished your gig there.
