@@tedreynolds6363true. but if it wasn’t for black americans there would be no rock and roll, country, blues, hip hop, and so much more. black americans have done a lot for the music industry. elvis presley most likely would not have been popular if it wasn’t for black american artists who inspired him.

@@tyrae7113 I worked in the entertainment industry for 35 years, successfully, specifically MUSIC so I KNOW the history, trust me. Black folks are instrumental to the foundation of modern music, no question about it, but others contributed as well. And yes, Elvis and many others admitted that they "stole" from black entertainers.

This is true throughout the world. South Korea's KPop is straight from Black America!!! I watched a video of Punjabi rapping in India. This is why June in America is Black Music Month from HipHop, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Gospel, Soul, Country, Disco, etc. Latin music is flavored from the Motherland. Black music is the reason the U.S. is #1 musically. Foreign artists dream is to make it in America. These are the facts.

How can you honor Gordy without mentioning
    Tammi Terrell
    The Four Tops
    Gladys Knight and the
    Pip's
    The O"Jays and
    The Dells
This Man made the careers of many many great entertainers
Who weren't a one hot wonder
Gordy started as a child with a vision that he brought to life
Gordy created entertainers that gave the world an experience that no one had ever experienced before
    The Man is a genius
Gordy should have been the only honoree on this night

It has nothing to do with Temtations or The Supremes but very well done applause to the artist
