  • Today we're reviewing the new release Mido Ocean Star GMT Special Edition. This is a rather reserved new offering coming from Mido when compared to some of their other recent releases. Beautiful details are discovered the closer you look though, such as the shark took inspired triangular markers on the dial, and inner flange ring.
The bezel is bidirectional, and the watch has a nice charming retro flair. The watch is also boasting some great specs, and wears extremely well on wrist due to Mido's great attention to proportions.

@@Watchreviewblog Thank you for videos. I always finds here tasteful selection. :)
On my list is Mido Powerwind black dial or navy limited edition. Gorgeous watches.

I find the 24hr white inner chapter ring too white. Might be better in silver, or something more subdued. Or just get rid of it - seems unnecessary.

I like Mido and it is a beautiful watch, but this is not a true diver watch...There are other version of this watch with 60 minute outer bezel that you can call a diver. Also, if you really want to compare it to the other divers in the $1500 price range such as Doxa / Zodiac / Longines / Oris / etc. there is a lot of competition in that range. I personally wear Logine Hydroconquest as my daily watch which is a true diver, not that anyone using them as a dive computer now with all the air integration we have available to us.
