@@JBOutside1 Hey JB, hes right you should def check it out. I have the Alpha 31 3rd production and if you get yours soon, itll be the 3rd production as well which addresses some minor complaints about the smoothness of the laptop zipper. Everything is flawless now!
Fantastic overview! I have the same blue Charlie - only tried it around the house so far but it carries best for me with a good amount of weight in it. I don’t like it so much if I have only snacks and a puffy. I actually got the new Alpha along with it and that feels much better with a typical EDC or dayhike load. I do love how versatile both packs are though.
It would be great to hear your thoughts on deferent materials used for packs. As you mentioned VX21 vs EPX 200 etc….thanks for the videos content much appreciated 🤙🏽
@@JBOutside1 Totally understand, I often finding my self trying to decide between pack materials, Wax Canvas/ VX21/EPX 200 etc…the list goes on with all the new materials and pack production. Thanks for the content, always enjoy your perspective on packs and daily/travel use. Have a great weekend.
Well I have tried to packout the A31 a few times and those front pockets are akward for me at the moment. I've been working on that to get that one a fair shakeout but haven't gotten to it. I really do like the C25 for it's size and features. They are obviously very different packs. I don't think I can pick one at the moment but I love the feel and build of the RE packs.
Thank you very much for the Review! The backpack seems very interesting. It is a longshot but did you measure the length of the backpanel. (Bottom to Shoulder Straps)? It seems they are lower than the overall length. Which would be perfect. Greetings from Germany 😊
@@JBOutside1 Thank you very much for your response. Southern Germany is really nice and different to northern Germany where I live. I hope you enjoyed your stay.
i do not have a charlie, but i do have an alpha. It has a EPX200 material, the vx21 might be referring to the inner laminated material used'? maybe...?
Great looking blue. I have the Alpha 31 and its a unicorn. It's the only pack I've found that actually does both EDC and travel VERY well.
Nice! That one is on my list

The back panel is 18" but the lid often sticks up beyond that. I was just in Germany! Stuttgart for a few days.

I don’t think there’s any VX21. All EPX
Charlie v1 was vx21
