It's weird to me how 15 year old me (in 94) had no clue about these guys, and if I had heard them I probably would have thought they were too noisy and weird, but now to 42 year old me who just heard them for the first time this sounds like the best thing ever.

You are lucky if you get to see this. The restraint and tension in this track have always moved me. Forgive an inappropriate? analogy, but in Dio there are these what I like to call "waterfall moments" where the musical momentum simply overwhelms the song or the resistance of the speaker ("Holy Diver" and "Invisible" for example.) In any case, this song has such a profound climax: dueling guitars, held at abeyance until they spill over into a kind of frenetic, birdlike fury. And of course, the always very precise, deliberate and intoxicating drumming of Zach Barocas.

the first 15 second of this video is hard to watch... awkward silence, and an empty studio. i know it's a recording for TV, but... just not right to have one of the greatest punkrock bands in the world ever play in front of... camera operators... T..T knowing well that we will never see such greatness on national TV ever again...

Came across this song on Deftones B sides and rarities. Saw that it was a cover of Jawbox. Don't think I ever listened to Deftones version though

In order to discover the original you must have heard the cover at least once otherwise your comment doesn't make sense.

@@guitaristssuck8979 I think I read online that it was a cover. I heard the original first.
