- This was a fun project to take a piece of old furniture and give it new life! This would be a great project to do on a cabinet you can find at a thrift store or goodwill for cheap. Hope you enjoy!

Love the video and the project. Girlfriend and I have a late 1800's armoire used as a vacation (see holliday) travel piece brought over from Europe. Whoever brought it, just left it, and it was eventually used as a TV stand, then sold to us for 10 dollars. I've been looking for inspiration to turn it into a bar and I LOVE where you went with your project. Will definitely steal some notes from you on this one.

What did use behind the mirror to support the back? Was it just an extra wood beam?
Valarie Holt Yes, we just used a couple of scrap pieces to screw into to reinforce the back panel!
Actually you can put it back with mirror or spray paint 😎 HA!
Did you wire the under cabinet lighting to your two wall lights to turn on at the same time? Or are they on separate switches?
I did, I wired a switched outlet and plugged the lights into that.
What are the dimensions of that armoire?

Why did your elders collect things and repurpose things because everything has a spirit and we want to keep it alive. I watch my granny get her dishes out of boxes of laundry detergent depression glass somewhat valuable today good luck assembling a whole set.
