I wonder wat all i would need to change to put the touch screen in my 2013. I really wish i knew honda upgraded our si's from 13 to 14 when i bought mine. Would be pretty cool if it more or less was plug N play. I havent seen anyone that tried to do the upgrade, to my knowledge. (Obviously need the headunit, and hdmi plug and bezel)
Kenny R yeah that was a poor deal Honda gave their fans. There are so many minor differences between 9th gens, it’s hard to believe. I thought I saw a post on 9thGen Civic Forum for an install. But to be honest. I hate this stock “infotainment” system. It’s shit IMO. I would invest in an aftermarket quality car play setup.
Kenny R you just need the head unit, bezel, and hdmi/usb harness for functional purposes. If you want it to look factory you'll also need the shifter trim piece from a 14-15. Lots of us have done it on the 9th gen civic Facebook page, myself included. It's pretty much plug and play.
I actually just made a 14 screen work on my 13 none touch screen. If you have have a premium sound car and buy a premium sound unit it actually plug and plays. Just need the hdmi port and harness after that
It’s plug and play however the harness for the Bluetooth control’s doesn’t fit I’ve been searching for an adapter harness but everything else works fine not a huge deal but. Would like to have it working when I get around to it you can still make calls with the touch screen though
Where did you get the hdmi converter brother? I got one similar like yours from amazon but when I got it and tried it its not working. I don’t know if its the hdmi port in my 9th gen si that’s not working or what but yeah
Hi! I just got a Honda Civic and I had no idea you couldn’t have apple CarPlay on it. This video is so helpful! I do have a question, to be able to use the call buttons on the call and Siri can you have the Bluetooth connected while connected to the hdmi?
Will this work with movies? I have car play on an aftermarket system in my 8th gen, but only very few apps will work (gps, music, phone/messages, and that’s about it). There is no actual “mirroring” happening. Can’t use Instagram, UA-cam, iTunes movies, etc. Parked or driving.
I don’t have an Android but I believe it does work. There’s one model someone mentioned that doesn’t work at all. I’m sorry I can’t recall. You don’t need to purchase any apps to mirror.

Do you have to do that power button sequence every time you turn the car off and on or is it just a one time thing

Can you please tell me how you made the 2 screens in front of you red instead of blue
if you have an Si model, the middle screen is red. The iMid color can be changed on the steering wheel menu.

What radio is that
I hate the stock radio too. I'm working on swapping mines.
Lmk if you have any success, I tried and bought a ton of equipment but didn’t work out

I got mine to work its just i cant change the screen size to fit the whole 7inch deck i have a Samsung s10 phone and i cant figure it out
Brandon Knox do you have some kind of orientation lock?
S10 won’t work it’s too big of picture to fit the whole image we tried different phones at the shop only smaller phones mirror correctly
