- Hello everyone - I really wanted to share this product I found with you all because this kit is an absolute GEM. I don't have a single negative thing to say about it, and personally, it's worth every penny. The videos I have seen on UA-cam regarding ambient lighting kits all use the same old-school kit that is sold everywhere which looks very cheap and has many flaws. i've been going back and forth on ambient lighting for quite a while now.
do these stay in place once they are in? or do they get loose and fall out because the door is opening and closing constantly and the vibrations of the car moving, etc...

I really like how thin the lights are...will look nice and clean when installed. Can you tell me how do you connected the lights to the app for control? I can't seem to get the app to work with the lights.

i want to stick the fibers cables without using the casing it comes with....ive tried sticking it with hot glue and CA glue... its not sticking... got any other ideas how to stick them to the door panels?its too bulky if i use it with casing

I bought the kit but I have some problems on my 2016 hyundai elantra, the lines on the doors where I was supposed to install the lights are very small and won't fit🥲 in that case i prefer the old light because i think it would fit
i bought a full kit from lighting trendz and the light is not even and it has hot spots and is really thick. is it possible to just buy the new lights and hook it up to the wiring from the lightning trendz kit or do i need to buy this full set including wiring etc?
trying to stivk some flat led strips to inside roof of my car - that doesnt ruin material, but also is able to somehow stick to material/cloth that interior roof is usually made of???? Any suggestions super appreciated anyone?

hey, simple question, does these fibers give a shadow of light into the cabin? or is it too weak to do that? i don't mean like a full disco like in mercedes (which i like, but could be too bright) but like a little glow in the cabin?
also does these acrylic stripes have something like aluminium foil or something on them? i think i've seen a kit with it and it gives more uniformity i guess
This particular fiber optic does not give a shadow of light because light is only transmitted from one angle, the top and bottom part of the strip is covered in aluminum type foil material yes. Hope that helps

see i like the how subtle the thin ones are, but i really fw the hotspots on the olds ones just cs it gives more character throughout the light rather than being stagnant n consistent
I had EL-Wires in my Volvo V50 about 10 years ago. EL-Wires work differently as they glow themselves, but look pretty much the same. Nowadays I would prefer some indirect lightning, where you cant see the light source itself.
I’ve been told the life span of the EL wire isn’t very long . Which is quite unfortunate

I have the old tubing and the light have stopped shining through, it's barely making it to the edge from behind the door panel. Anyone else have that problem? I'm wondering if it's the cable that needs changing? Any suggestions?
the link doesnt have any sellers with th 12v cigarette lighter power source. any idea. i do not want to tap into my lexus wiring. Also is i havent seen anyone do the rear doors. im assuming its not easy to hide the wires from the front to the back.

Hey, how did you manage to hide the wire that goes from the middle to the end of the door? How did you do it so it wouldn't shine between doors?
Hey lucas, i basically fed the wiring between interior panels, and through the gromet that covers the door harness. Coming out with a video about proper installation very soon stay tuned!

Can you bend these around trims? so my seat leon mk3 has curves trims on centre console and was wondering if i can bend it around. like a U shape?
As long as you don't bend it too harshly, so basically don't kink the casing
Can you cut them to length, if there is excess at the end of a run. Example; its 2m(6ft) and I only need 4.8ft. can i cut off the left over at the end of the run. or do i have to ruck and hide it? And if so, can you repurpose the excess or if it is able to be cut once it is that is a new permanently smaller piece?
You can definitely cut them to size, cable is mostly made out of plastic, however you won’t be able to repurpose the excess that you cut off front my understanding..
how many inches on optic does it give u bc it says only 150cm which is like 60”
I have a bmw 750li. It’s a big car. So u think the kit will have enough wire for a car this size.
In my old 2014 Kia Optima sxl I had the old kind of fiber optic everywhere it looked bad ass and I had the stars Like that whole car was lit up inside I traded the Kia in for a Nissan Maxima SR The Nissan has this factory trim lighting that goes on the dash and doors Underneath the trim pieces but it’s so dim only one color This would be a great kid to replace those lights

I have this exact kit on my 2022 gmc yukon and its waaaaay better than the cheaper looking round tube type. The quality is also leaps and bounds better and they look oem and elegant in my truck. The only downside is the lack of flexibilty. Keep that in mind for sharp angles, etc. They are NOT as bright as the tube ones and can barely see them during the day. But thats what i like about them. They arent LOUD or abnoxious. At night they look perfect. My kit even came with footwell lights front and back
which kit is the one with the footwell lights?
I don't know exactly which kit because when I originally placed the order I had only picked the option for the 6 piece kit and the footwell lights came with it to my surprise. Sorry
What’s the source of the light, and how do you hide it?
Would it not be better to run the ambient lighting on the doorcards where the OE ambient lighting is so it looks as if it was original?
Depends what kind of look you’re going for. I wanted the beam to be visible but you could hide it so that it reflects light instead..

I have a E39... Which one do I need for my car, confused on which to buy? Would like all door trims & front panel trim, also wanna put inside the door handles if possible! Also does it have to be to the cigarette lighter, can it be rigged to the parking lights?
For the whole car you need to get 5-6pcs and its possible to rig into the parking lights however it depends on the car make/model
As long as you don't exceed the rated power you can rig to whatever power supply you want. So direct from the battery/audio equipment/interior lights etc. Just remember that you will need a good earth too. The best place to earth is normally behind an existing bolt, but make sure there is no paint or corrosion to stop a good connection.
Do you need to buy the whole kit or can you just replace the fibre optic strands?
You can just replace the fibre optic strands granted u have the previous kit

yes you certainly could with some soldering, however I would advise you just hide the excess under a trim piece

From what I have read, you can cut the power connector off and wire directly to a power source and a good earth on the body.
Hey Ali express now has led ambient light strips for cars. Same size as these acrylic ones but now full leds on them.

Hey what’s up! Got a question Dose the dash strip bend in 120-160 degree cause I have a 2017 optima with curved trim edges .
You can't bend these too sharply. . If you do you will get hotspots

Hey durand, what exactly do you need guidance with? it is very simple to install. You screw on the fiber optic cable to the led light and then insert that into a gap between a door trim for example. as for the wiring, it depends on the car you have and you will have to hide the wiring accordingly. The whole unit just plugs into your cigarette lighter and you're ready to go. Hope that helps

If the mini has gaps on the door trim where you think it’ll squeeze in then it should! Plug and play

Have you looked at dualdrive laser wire car kit by ellumiglow. They use the same or similar type of lighting as Mercedes and it’s thinner wire Aswell. I just bought the one you showed and found it after smh.
I have seen that one, but this kit is much better for a few reasons: way cheaper and you can control colors from your phone

number one doesn't fiber optic stuff get really hot? And number two what's this going to do to your battery?
This does not get hot at all, and as for the battery, it is powered by your 12v input with a switch, so its harmless and draws low amps
@@Azizdesign_ i like that it's THIN. that other stuff looks like corny stuff 16 yr olds put in their cars. I wish this stuff was colored RED tho. so in the day it had a color to it. other thing I noticed about the cheap stuff is it keeps popping out all the time... or like you said wavy, too big. does it stay in or do you have to use some type of adhesive/tape? looks like you have mostly "Straight" lines. does it bend and do corners well?

How are these holding up? I just got my car done with ambient lights and I'm not really feeling the silicone tubes. They're too bulky and honestly are a bit on the tacky side. Thinking about redoing with these.
Hey gerald, these are 100 times better than the ones you are mentioning and are holding up great! I would suggest you just order the fiber optic itself (not the whole kit) and just replace the tubes then you’ll be set!
