Hi! I had a busy day sewing and filming in my sewing room today. I'm so thankful that I get to sit down and watch your video! I'm still hand sewing and mending my blue jeans but I have you to keep me company. I hope you have a beautiful week ahead. Thank you for sharing your video and your talent.

I especially appreciate the suggestion to do a small project as a first one and love the heart with glue stick approach, also cute to do the lemons which need small pieces and a lot of shading on the paper method, then transfer them to the larger project…..Which actually was my thought for my project I’ve got a sun with sun rays and hand in foreground, so the hands will need much more detail but the rays will be less shading of colors…Also with the quilting (or fabric markers/paints) that can be added after if the values need more adjustments. It’s good to see that it’s a flexible process. My plan is to use the mosaic fabrics instead of lots of small pieces and that will be more placement specific, later the thread and paints can be added to make adjustments as well!

    Great work
Ladies. Very very nice. I bought Laura Heine’s “Cowboy” (cowgirl) pattern. Have not started it yet. Purchased ultra suede for her hat and boots.
I also like what Jean Truelove (u tube video) did with her pretty lady collage by L Heine too. She did an amazing job. Check her utube video out.
These look like such fun once you get started. Look forward to next week’s video.

Sew much fun! Can’t wait to see what your quilts look like! I’m planning to make the Owl (free pattern) by Emily Taylor.

I love the different ideas each one came to the table with. I do have a question for all of you and that is once you have your quilts all quilted what you found to be the better product for holding the fabric down. I am wondering if the glue stick might be the way to go for a softer end product. Quilts made with Steam a seam feel so stiff that would be great if it is a wall hanging. I am thinking I need a video on what the sticky product are used for best.

We will touch on that a little next week. I personally have found that using a glue stick is less stiff but doesn't hold the fabric in place all the time! The Steam A Seam Lite 2 is my next favorite.

I have bought a corgi collage pattern long ago. Wanted to make it like my corgi so didn’t buy the fabric.
