I was never really a fan of the exterior styling of most Audis. The interior seemed nice enough. Took an Audi for a test drive and bought an Audi. All I can say is drive it and see, they do it right.
I agree. The exterior design of Audi’s are not my favorite, except for the Etron and Q8. I drove a 2020 Q5 for a year in a half and I loved the way it drove. No issues, no problems and No slouch on the expressway either.
Torque: 370Nm Weight: 1854kg Fuel consumptions: 10.8l/100km in city, 8.47l/100km on highway Boot capacity: 699l with seats up compared to the Q5 with 710l, 1480l with seats down compared to the Q5 with 1503l
Obviously, there would be optional wheels available, (because these are lame for such a nice vehicle). I'd definitely go with the more powerful setup, but the fit, finish, and comfort, looks fine. Thanks, Joe! Lori, would be fun to hear a giggle, once in a while lol. Another stellar example of your amazing camera work. Thanks for all you do!
Joe would you get this vehicle, or the 2022 redesigned NX350? That’s what it’s going to come down to for me. Which one did you like better? I’m a longtime Audi owner but that new NX is calling for me.
Have one : the gloss black around the shifter is a zonk, the on throttle is a bit airy and Audi should have a 3 liter engine option other than buying an SQ 5. Update: after several weeks of ownership the phone charger doesn’t work, the backup camera goes in and out and the screen now goes black most of the time. Granted it’s all under warranty but a car of this price range shouldn’t have this many problems.
I'm more of a BMW or a Mercedes kind of a guy, For the Q5 I do feel there's way too much Chrome on the outside. I personally feel the Wheels and trim should be blacked out. If the sportback more of a aggressive look.
Great review as always Joe! I'm in the market right now so definitely wanted to include this in my choices. Will you be doing a review on the 2022 BMW X3?
Joe, thanks for the review. The Q5 has never looked attractive to me. This looks a little better If its being marketed as sporty I just wish it was blacked out with no chrome on the exterior.
Awesome review as usual Joe and Lori!!! Literally no one does reviews like you two and we're all here for it!!! #RaitisRides #OnThrottle #Audi #Q5_Sportback
I’m not normally a fan of SUVs and crossovers, but even I have to say the Q5 Sportback looks good, but even better in person. I like the shape of it and you’re really not sacrificing that much cargo capacity for the sportier look. It’s a nice difference from many otherwise boring looking SUVs on the road. Also, I applaud Audi for keeping the nice, simple and clean look of the rear of the standard Q5 instead of doing something funky (and ugly) like BMW and MB did with their “coupe” SUVs.
Based on your recommendation I bought a 2021 A5 Sportback Prestige. I was on the fence because of the tablet display, but honestly after driving it for a couple months I barely notice that its not integrated better.
It's obviously just a trend. They could do without it altogether and add the functionality to heads up display and dashboard if they really wanted to. I think Lambo has Apple carplay in the dashboard now so no reason why Audi can't do it.
Those wheels need to go the way of the dodo along with the entertainment unit. At the very least they should have used a wide low centre screen so it didn't stick up like that. Otherwise it looks nice. Seeing the dashboard is so configurable and there is a heads up display as well why do they even need an entertainment unit in the middle? . The only other thing i wish it had was leather or suede dashboard and leather on door sills. It looks a bit unfinished.
Aside from Porsche and Tesla, Audi is one of those brands that make the whole coupe SUV segment attractable and not ugly since Audi's design language fits with the whole coupe SUV style. Besides, ever since the A7 came out Audi has used what they've learnt from the design of the A7 and applied it to their other vehicles like the Q3 and A5. BMW and Mercedes Benz fail with this design language simply because vehicles like the X6 or GLE Coupe are way too overly styled especially the X6 and the GLE Coupe looks like a blob fish at certain angles. Audi and Porsche are the only two German brands where coupe SUVs look good in my opinion, and the Q5 Sportback is a great example of that.
No questions about it audi design and styling is very nice. Audi isn’t reliable and very expensive to fix (labor fee). Audi is hard to sell as a preown.

Audi is always good in their beautiful cars but I would get the regular Q5
I love the car and I like it even more when Joe drops random motorsports knowledge and enthusiasm.

It's not an overly aggressive design that eats into space like a certain BMW model does.
@@DEVILTAZ35 I wasn’t talking about design here.
Looks pretty good. The wheels are kind of boring though. Thanks for sharing it Joe. Nicely done you and QOC Lori!! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Love it. Can’t wait until Joe gets his hands on the new RS3 next year
I LOVE MINE. I have an SQ5 and am IN love. Got it two weeks ago.
Need a boyfriend? Oh never-mind you said you're in love, darn it!
I love the color of this SUV!! Nice job Joe.
Been waiting for an Audi demo

My buddy’s wife got a SQ5 and that thing is wilddddd. Beautiful cars.
That would definitely be the one to get!
Great review. Looked at one of these this weekend and to me, it looks better in person.
thanks for you hard word raiti and crew!
Have a 2020 Q5 and love it. Definitely would still pick the standard Q5 over the sport back.

I liked the infotainment screens better when they had the option to tuck them back down in the dash.
cant wait for you to review the new upcoming bmw x4m facelift version.
Does it have ambient lighting?

Agreed, they need their version of the shadow line edition that BMW offers.
Have an awesome Sunday guys take care
Excellent informative presentation, purchased one in Mythos black from Audi Swindon England, 👏 great job
Almost picked one up last week but sold just the day before
Wow, I wasn’t aware Audi made a Sportback model. Lets have a comparison, this and the qx55!
Then Audi would be a better value

You can get the Black Optic package that does that. I have it on my A5.
I saw an SQ5 today with the Black Optics package. It looked good on the Daytona Grey it was painted in.
Hi Zonkman, I love the Audi A5 and the Infinity Qx55 and I think it"s a Sandy.
That rear wiper kills the look of the back don't know why they didn't tuck it under the spoiler
Can you start climbing in back of suv's and see if you can lay down? Thx
Nice review been waiting for this one on the Audi Q5 sportback, question for you is would you do this Audi Q5 sportback or Genesis GV 70
Nice review keep up the good work
Raiti I look forward to your car reviews. Will you review the Porsche Coupe 2021?
How’s the visibility out of the rear window?
Audi makes really nice cars nowadays

Like to see more Porsche content- you’ve an engaging presentation style

Great rewiev! Just a great car.
Wish they did black trim on the wheels

The floating iPad style center screen is a deal breaker. Hey 2015 called.....you know the rest.
Do you know why Audi lease is so expensive? Comparing to BMW it seems about 20-30% more.
Awww so cute. We are living in an era where you have to be careful who you call she, he, him or her so I love how this design is oozing estrogen.

Gv70 interior is wat more exciting than this, this has the tech and features but just not an exciting place to spend time in
Looks like the prestige option at near total of 60k. Overpriced for what it is and the features.
I’m glad Audi didn’t add any fake exhausts. That trend needs to end. Why is this a thing?
IKR? Volkswagen Group is the worst culprit of fake exhausts, even in the Audi S6.
I hate chevy for reusing designs with sister brands, i also hate audi for NOT reusing designs with Volkswagen.
