I like that the villains are in the Valley, it works well with the Forgotten storyline where sympathy and forgiveness are key parts to combating the Forgetting.
You absolutely hit the nail on the head. Gothel is too realistic and that’s why I HATE her. None of the other villains in any of the classic Disney movies comes anywhere close to her. I actually love all of the other villains, they are fun and flamboyant and larger than life. They’re megalomaniacal and over the top and great. But I would legit set fire to Gothel’s pixelsif I could.

The hide the character map function would be great if it actually worked. The only thing it really does for me is hide people that I am looking for. If it actually worked I wouldn’t have to fence off my dreamsnaps.
I 100% agree with you on Mother Gothel. She is a special kind of villain and is the closest to a real person, which is why I think she is hated. I despise her myself. There is so much negativity in the world right now, no one wants to see it in there cozy game. I also feel that the Dev's have heard and listened to the complaints. In the beginning, Mother Gothel would say the most horrible things and I think they have toned it down a bit. While I dread quests with her I get surprised when she isn't the horrible &!+(# she was when the game was launched. I also agree the villains are a necessary evil. I love having Scar, Ursula and Gaston in the valley. I personally would love to see more like Cruella, Maleficent and Oggie Boogie. It is all about balance. You can't have good without...EVIL!
I agree, I think the problem is she is more personal than the other villain's. They just wanna be in power and have control, but MG says deep personal insults that could hurt some players, especially if they are struggling with rl issues. Maybe if they allowed us to mute her and only have her speak to us, either for a quest or if we initiate a conversation, it might help the problem. But getting rid of the unwanted villian's, out of the game, is unnecessary and unfair to those who actually love them.

I understand the post about being fed up of DDV , I play on Xbox series S and when I play in the valley it crashes or freezes every 5-10 minutes , I find myself constantly manually saving so I don’t lose what I do , and dreamsnaps in the valley are impossible because of all the crashing. I’ve uninstalled cleared cache reinstalled etc. still always crashing . I hope they fix it , I’ve emailed and had a generic reply , but I feel more effort is being put into gimmicks / events and shop items than actually fixing the game .

I have regretted not buying an item but only because I didn't have enough moonstones. Otherwise, I only buy what I like most in the shop and hope that the item I missed out on, comes again.
Here me out on the companions lol. Maximus and Rajah could be mounts we can ride around our biomes in XD. Eventually if the game keeps going and we keep getting addons to our valley we might see the need for mounts to get around, and those would be my 2 top picks lol
I love the villains but the function to hide certain villagers doesn’t really work. I have characters I have tried to hide multiple times or keep to one island and they are still walking around both valleys. I do think we should be allowed to send characters back to their realms and the hanging out quests for Star Path should be removed or reworked to be a bit more general. I just unlocked Monsters Inc last night because of the Star Path duty where I have to hang out with Mike and I didn’t really want to unlock them yet, at least it was short.
I think characters like maximus would be characters similar to how Simba and Nala are characters. Yes maximus is a bit bigger but they've done non human characters with the lion king character, characters who dont talk like wall e and bigger characters like beast
I will tell you honestly, I have a friend who uses a Macbook and he's given up on the game because of the glitches and yet he was the one who introduced me to the game. I wish the developers would work hard on fixes the glitches for every platform so everyone can play it. It's a shame some users get chased off because of the bugs.
Blue whimsical pets are good as ghosts in a graveyard design. I had a pink bird pose that got me 4,000 moonstones in a recent dreamsnap showing my Vanellope build. I thought I didn't like them but now I do for certain things.
I really like what you said to the lady that said she was done playing. You were very supportive. DDV is new to me right now but I was feeling like I was neglecting another game focusing mostly on this game. My other game is a MMO and I was thinking what will I miss can I catch back up with everyone. Then there is a guilt, especially not playing Animal Crossing for awhile. But you are so right this is to be fun, we all need a change sometimes and can shift back and forth when we like.😊❤
It was very supportive! But I think he took it in a different direction than what the person was talking about. They aren’t getting bored by it.. They are getting upset because the game keeps crashing and isn’t working properly.
This game would be way more interesting if the beginning was similar to Alena of Avalor and Sofia the first. We could help Sofia free Alena from Sofia's Amulet becuase Alenas Septure is the only thing that can oppose the forgotten. Then the three of us could go throughout different worlds saving characters and reminding them who they are and defeating the forgotten's minions.
I hope they don’t get rid of any villains. I actually don’t have an issue with any of them especially Mother Gothel. And plus in Rapunzel level 10 quest Mother gothel actually allows Rapunzel to move on and live independently which I thought was nice of her. So hopefully the ban doesn’t happen

I don't regret not buying anything. I do regret buying some of the house skins like Lady Tremaine and Belle's Cottage because I don't know what to do with them. Now, I don't buy house skins unless I come up with an idea for how to use them before reset day.
I just want different progression with unlocking their rewards. I wish I didn't have to give them gifts and talk with them or hang around with them like friends. I want them as part of the story, but I do not want them as part of the community.
One of my favourite characters is Maleficent 🖤🖤 So, I sincerely hope they never remove villains. As much as I don't like mother Gothel, you are not supposed to, she wasn't created to be liked. But,. you make an excellent point Star in your characterization of her and how she is real, as opposed to Ursula, Scar etc, not cartoony or animated, and depicts many people and for some, they will relate to her or how she treats people, so for that, we need her in the game, she is a pivotal part of the story and sometimes you need a balance between right and wrong. I love the villains, I actually like chatting with them in the game and teasing - I'm always thinking I'd get along better with them lol. If they eradicate the villains - I won't play. Sometimes the good guys can be a bit too saccharine for my tastes. My least fave is Olaf, can't stand him lol. I don't hide any characters, I find that mean in a way.
I honestly can't imagine why it wouldn't open up as it's covered with the same giant nighthornes the Castle and Biomes had at the very beginning of the game. My theory is Malificent is in there, but different villain like the Queen from Snow White, Zurg, or Hades would be good as well.
I play on Switch and feel like I do not have as many issues with crashing as others. That being said, I do not decorate much in the game. First because it is annoying to do with the switch controller and second because I just don't like doing that in any game I play. So maybe I don't crash as much because of that. I do have an issue with the game not wanting to load when I come back with it in sleep mode but closing and opening it helps and does not take too much time to do. Regarding being bored with the game, I feel like if you play for hours and hours everyday you are going to burn out. This is meant to be a casual game and the updates and new releases back that up. If you are brand new player joining right now you have TONS of content to get through and it will be a while before you catch up to the new releases. I am totally fine with picking up my Switch to play for like an hour to do some tasks and grinding in between updates because I know I will play for hours once something new hits. At this point I have more than gotten my moneys worth from the game (and I don't buy moonstones) and am content. That being said, I totally understand if you love decorating and like to get even more playability time through that and the game not functioning enough for it to be fun while decorating is a major negative. If this is a feature GameLoft wants to have as a core component of the game then they need to devote more time to improving it, at the very least for the systems that have the highest game sales/players. Especially if they want to increase sales in the premium shop for buildings and decor kits. No point in buying them if it makes you scream and cry when you try to place them in your Valley.
I will never understand why some players intentionally don’t want to decorate, but to each their own. But I started decorating Glade f Trust, nothing fancy. I put pathing, a bench and a few tress on each side and everytime I visit that biome it feels much nicer.
@@sandiego2380 It's just not my jam; never has been for any games where you can do that. To be fair, I was never a SIMS kid growing up so I don't think I ever caught the bug. I also tend to get motion sick when playing video games and decorating just makes it worse. In the little time I have to focus on the game I like to do quests and tasks or dress my character. DDLV is still a very satisfying game to me despite my biomes looking like Vanellope had a go at them 😅
The reason I don't like Venelope is because of how grating her voice is, it hurts my brain hearing it. Like before I locked her in her house I would feel my heart rate go up whenever she ran up to me and said some annoying crap.

Mother gothel can be a MASSIVE trigger due to how realistic she is as a villain. I don't think we should villainize people who don't want gothel due to trauma irl.
Also Gaston with the way he gaslights you. Still, I think just don't talk to them if it bothers you, just like don't watch that movie if it's a trigger.

The Evil Queen is from Snow White. The evil lady from Cinderella is named Lady Tremaine.

If this is a feature GameLoft wants to have as a core component of the game then they need to devote more time to improving it, at the very least for the systems that have the highest game sales/players. Especially if they want to increase sales in the premium shop for buildings and decor kits. No point in buying them if it makes you scream and cry when you try to place them in your Valley.
I will never understand why some players intentionally don’t want to decorate, but to each their own. But I started decorating Glade f Trust, nothing fancy. I put pathing, a bench and a few tress on each side and everytime I visit that biome it feels much nicer.
@@sandiego2380 It's just not my jam; never has been for any games where you can do that. To be fair, I was never a SIMS kid growing up so I don't think I ever caught the bug. I also tend to get motion sick when playing video games and decorating just makes it worse. In the little time I have to focus on the game I like to do quests and tasks or dress my character. DDLV is still a very satisfying game to me despite my biomes looking like Vanellope had a go at them 😅
The reason I don't like Venelope is because of how grating her voice is, it hurts my brain hearing it. Like before I locked her in her house I would feel my heart rate go up whenever she ran up to me and said some annoying crap.
She does have a very special voice 😅

This game not having a some original characters like princess 👑 Aura ( rose ) and princes 🤴🏻 Philip only I loved it but some characters it’s good staying there like mother Gothel that her it’s adorable 🥰 .
I dont play ddlv as much as i used too cause ove finished my vally. Ive done some light changes recently though. I play other games too so i dont get burnt out. My biggest premium shop regret is buyinbthe up house cause it looks bad floating let us not have it floating please update it.

Getting rid of or making the villains "nicer" will be the end of this game.. without the villains or having them be "nicer" will eliminate any reason to have heroes, It is Fairytale 101 .. You need a Villain to pose problems and a Hero to fix those problems,.. If the villains become likable or are removed, what is the gameplay of the Fairytale? Skipping happily thru the woods to grandmas and.. oh no..a tiny grasshopper hops over your foot.. oops..no bother..off we go.. *yawn* , I want to hate the villains, I want them to be annoying, I want them to sound mean..

i like the villians to, but then most annoying character is gaston to me. I love the sarcastic villians the best the make me laugh
Mother gothel can be a MASSIVE trigger due to how realistic she is as a villain. I don't think we should villainize people who don't want gothel due to trauma irl.
Also Gaston with the way he gaslights you. Still, I think just don't talk to them if it bothers you, just like don't watch that movie if it's a trigger.
