Hey Josh. How does this compare to the Apex Tera 16T? My brother-in-law has a 2018 Toyota 4Runner.

The Tera is just a smushed down/scaled back version of a Nano. I didn't see where they saved enough weight and cost to add to our lineup at this time.

This is the type of unit I'd be interested in for my wife and I . A walk around bed with no slides and a nice bathroom . What similar units are there like this that you would recommend checking out ? Thanks .

FD: There are plenty of similar floor plans in theory, but as I mention in the Video Apex has really done an AMAZING job of including extra bath storage, good living space, etc through the RV. A few similar layouts may include:
      * Geo Pro 19FD: bit.ly/2M8GKQ1
      * Wolf Pup 16FQ: bit.ly/32knEfB (crazy popular, sold out currently, but will eventually show up in that link once back in stock)
      * And the new Catalina Expedition 192FQ: bit.ly/2MihKWL (Note: This one is so new it isn't actually out yet but will be soon. That link will work once it hits our lineup)

I try to put my tent under a tree or few, helps to keep sun and light rain off of it. I'm betting I'll try to do the same with an RV, once I finally get one. Coachmen is doing some nice things with the Apex and the Catalina Expedition, nice to see the small RV market getting attention from the manufacturers.

Love the kitchen updates; higher spigot on the kitchen sink, recessed stove top and, finally, covers for the sink! The bottle opener is a nice touch.
Not thrilled that they kept the same, very low spigot bathroom faucet and moved the 110V/120V AC outlet on the rear bench to an even a more inconvenient location for a person sitting on the rear bench seat. (I moved mine to over the wheel well and it serves us much better there and any cords that are plugged into it don’t rub on anyones legs.)
The second LP tank and solar onboard is also a nice touch.
A few questions that I’d like answered, please.
Is the water heater now an Atwood instead of a Suburban?
To me, the cover looks more like an Atwood than Suburban.
Has the furnace brand been changed as well?
It appears so from the single outlet on the side of the trailer and the furnace vent inside the trailer.
It appears that a battery cutoff switch has been added (the red thing dangling near the camp side of the “A” frame), yes or no?
If so, that’s a big thumbs up!
Has the axle been up-graded to possibly the Dexter D44, 4,400 lb. with 15” wheels?
What is the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) on this unit?
I’m thinking it might be 4,700 lb. if they up-graded to the D44 axle. That would make a significant change in the cargo carrying capacity (CCC) for better carrying water for boondocking. 50 gallons of fresh water would weigh just a little less than 420 lb.
What is the CCC of this unit?
We love our “early” 2020 Coachmen Apex 187RB with Summit package, which was featured in a previous Haylett video.
We purchased it from Haylett in the middle of May of 2019. It has worked great for our style of camping and traveling. We even love the mattress, but that is just us.
Our 187RB is pulled by a 2019 Subaru Ascent, Premium trim.
Haylett was a great place to work with and the folks there, that we dealt with, were all top notch.
While the updates are pretty “cool”, my only real regret about ours is that I really wished that we had the 4.4K axles instead of the 3.5K axles, which somewhat limits our load more than might be necessary with the 4.4K axles.
It appears that Coachmen previously used the 4.4K axles on all of the Apex Nano single axle trailers except for the 185BH and 187RB.
I cannot recommend this trailer highly enough, if the size and floor plan suits your needs, as it did ours.
I really cannot imagine working with any other dealership after working with Haylett Auto and RV.
I have no relationship to Haylett at all. I am just a satisfied customer, period.

Hi Ken. UA-cam's platform is extremely not-friendly to large blocks of text like this, so pardon if I miss anything. Thank you for choosing our dealership. Your sales contact here is likely best equipped to assist you. I typically do not track brand specificity of appliances as they have a way of experiencing unannounced changes thru the year.

    California?

Sorry, but I'm not understand what you're asking. Do we do business with California Customers? All the time. If that's not what you're asking, then could you please clarify?

@@JoshtheRVNerd that was exactly what I was getting at. I was at work at the time of my reply so I had to make it quick. ;) We have been shopping for a camper for a while and my hubby said if we lived closer, Haylett RV would be the one we would buy it from.

@@pookiesmamma that definitely helps me understand lol. All I ask is that rather than simply *assuming* we can't do business together you simply wing our team a quick 1-time call or email saying "look, I'm across the country. Shoot your shot." Worst case scenario... nothing happens & you're out literally zero dollars. Nothing to lose.
