Absolutely! It's what shows the biggest difference between beginners and more advanced swimmers

Many tutorials say dolphin kick makes your body like a whip. I am an amateur but I think this video explains better - the kick uses chest as a "counter weight". Yes, chest moves first but kick follows immediately against the chest press

That's a good way to think about it!

I am planning to go maldives and I wanna snorkel. I will have a guide but i have NO swimming experience. Can you make a video on how can I just kinda float with my legs and snorkel without using sophisticated swimming techniques. We wont be snorkelling in really deep water. Your video will be very helpful. And I have subscribed btw 😊

I still never understand why most fins are the traditional frog feet when optimal foot position is with your toes turned in 20 or more degrees so you get a little more toe point and doing this also presents the little toe side of your foot better to the water for more thrust. Only ergonomically correct fins I have seen are the Positive Drive fins from Finis. More fin on the little toe side, and less fin on the big toe side. The Aqua fins that Michael Phelps made were okay, and an attempt ad doing this, but I couldn't get my feet into them, even after cutting a lot of the foot hole away.

how can I stay underwater longer? whenever I try to practice my dolphin kicks underwater I feel like I am reaching the surface too quickly

aim your hands down, press down more with your upper body

@@irenaanna it worked! All about hand placement and focusing on pressing the chest down more!🙏
