Great job, Phily! You ventured into the pain cave, dug deep and persevered to reach your goal. Running 32:44 is a very strong performance. Congratulations. What a crazy atmosphere - no wonder it’s your favorite.
Watching this at 6am on a Saturday morning with my coffee getting ready for parkrun. What a race! Huge congratulations for the call up to the 10,000m European Cup, go team GB! Go Phily! 🙌
I was the guy who shouted your name as you started you warm up along the path running parallel to the track. Awesome performance from you. Excellent Vlog your other half a wizard with the camera. Really enjoyed the whole event. Congratulations on qualifying and good luck 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Aha thanks Jim, sorry I didn’t say hello properly! Was in the zone/the sh*tting myself stage 😂 Daniel is getting pretty good with the shots, we’re hoping to get a proper camera soon so he can do some nice zooms too 😝 Thank you!!
Superb race Phily, congrats on the GB call up. Looks a super atmosphere and great event, whether you're competing or spectating. Best of luck for France
I can attest it is amazing both running and competing, I was injured in 2019 but went to watch it instead and it was almost as fun as racing it 😋 thank you!!
Congrats on a great run and time wow. Always harder running solo. Very well edited and entertaining to watch. Nice having the recap at the end of the same video too.👍 Oh and good luck in the next 10k!
Well done - great run & video and good luck in the European cup race. Couple of random status. According to our algorithms on runbritainrankings that was your best ever performance (taking into account conditions as well as raw times) and, all of the runners in all the 10000 races male or female, you were 4th best on performance versus prediction. In other words, you certainly peaked very well for this.
Thanks Tim! That’s really interesting to hear, how do I geek out on these algorithm rankings?! I guess it just shows sometimes you can’t predict human performance, but glad to have outdone my prediction!
Well done philly! Amazing running!🔥 I was cheering you on the whole way! Came back with a sore throat but definitely worth it!😅 what a incredible race it was!
Great video, love the way you pack, seems like zero fucs given, just Chuck it in🤣 I'm constantly panicking when I do a event just in case I forget something!!🤦😂😂
I watched this race and for some reason I thought you were a Portuguese athlete so my daughter kept shouting “Go Portugal” every time you went past. You run your own race, alone most of the time. Well done 🏃♀️
Looks like a really cool event. Congratulations on the qualification! Looking forward to your coverage from Paris. I'll have to see if I can follow it somehow from this part of the world. On a side note, I enjoy seeing your clips of your local area. I once lived in Reading and worked in Bracknell, but I don't recognise any of it. That was all well before you were born - so much has changed since then!
I’ll try and find a link to the race and post it on my Instagram and on a community post here! Ayy I used to live in Bracknell as a kid too, it’s certainly changed even in that time!
Great video again, congratulations on the run time👍 also for keeping it real with a bit of dry retching, think that proves you left nothing out on the track😆
the butter on the side, no problem. Ketchup (or any sauce) on your eggs, triggered. jk , really great running. I get very inspired by watching videos from runners like you, thank you, keep it up.
@@PhilyBowden That's amazing ahaha I love that! I've spent far too much time there during my first couple of years at uni😅😅 Need to buckle down and get strapped in for my dissertation once I'm back in September
Rocking the Ventolin Phily?!? You looked like you were just cruising that middle set! WTH ya going to race next time?!? :D Awesome run!! Woohooo GB team!!! Love the editing on the vids too :D
@@PhilyBowden You have such a smooth stride you never look like you're dying! Just clipping along 🥰If you had to do it all again, would you push to stay in-touch with the group in front of you? Of course you'd have been burning brighter so have less left at the end BUT curious how you think the psychology of hanging-in-there vs pacing yourself would have worked 🙂
Thanks Gareth! Hopefully sometime mid to late summer.. once I’ve had the time to complete all the coaching modules 😅 will make sure to put it out on here as soon as I know!
@@PhilyBowden yes it's so iconic up here. All runners run past my house and I love the whole day. Hope to see you on the normal course this year. Good luck for the 10000m cup next week. Maybe you can run even quicker
Awesome race, Phily! Congrats. 25 laps of a track at pace looks painful 😨😨 I noticed you use your asthma inhaler… would love you to talk about asthma in a future video. As a sufferer myself, it’s really hard to find advice online in regards to running. Some say to take the blue one half an hour before a race but you looked like you had it immediately before. Any tips would be great!
you cook your eggs too hot. turn down the pan a bit, they will take a minute or two longer but will come out much better, more spreadable on your toast.
Ventolin does not contain steroids, it’s not tasty either, but having been asthmatic since I was 7 yes I’m not concerned about including that in the video…
@@PhilyBowden my bad, not a steroid. I have the same problem with asthma, and i always feel like cheating, taking it before race so i hide it. no insult intended.
Amazing video and performance phily! Hope your ready for another 25 laps 👊🏻😂🙌🏻
Thanks Ben! Always ready 😎 you better be here next year!
Makes me laugh that your 10k is my 5k time! Great job, Phily!!
And I believe that's faster than the average 5k time, so nothing to shake your head at! Phily's pace is *insane*
