If you setup the replacer with a synth instead of a drum plugin, and turn up the replacer mix amount to 100, you can get the synth to follow the groove of the source drum track. Better still, if you choose an arp preset on your synth and raise the hold time, you can get your synth to trigger more than just the trigger note.

That's a great idea! Using the replacer with synths is amazing

Containers are probably my second favorite thing in bigwig, besides global modulators. The two combined open up so many possibilities, before even considering the grid.

Same here, I rare used the grid for a long time because the containers are so powerful

Love this channel. Clear narration, awesome videography (if that's the right term for the way you zoom in on, say, a container so that it's easy to spot where you are and what you are doing) and tons of "Say what?" moments where I back up the video and watch again. In the end it's all about the music, and I have to say that the clips and snippets you include in your videos sound superb. Thank you for taking the time to make and share them.

Appreciate your effort! I switched for bitwig quite some time age but I’m still unleashing it’s power. It was so fun to just fumble around intuitively adapting workflow from other Daws and discovering little thing that actually make Bitwig logic so superior.
Now I started getting into guides and all those unique features and it’s just mindblowing. Your demonstrations are a pleasure to watch listen and they also set a good measure of things I’m gonna experiment with in the future. Thanks!

Chain is much more powerful than it looks at first. Due to the fact that its gain knob is post-fx wet gain it is the perfect gain parameter for compensating for plugins that don't come with a wet gain themselves, enabling you to have a more balanced dry/wet mix, where 50:50 really feels like 50:50, like it's supposed to do

is ther no layer management like in
A.L. racks to manage and blend the chains or layers.? Key, velocity ,chain option ?!..
look like it could maybe possible with other devices ... maybe ..sry I grasp not the concept....
Chain control via blending mixing in and out with more Containers and dry and wet macro control rogether with the layer volumes ...❓

I hope you find this criticism constructive. The rabbit head mask thing really kills these vids for me. I don't know why. I think it may be because they don't add any real value to the video. When the camera cuts to the presenter camera I can't help but roll my eyes. Maybe it's too silly for me. Not trying to be harsh in any way and allow me to pre-apologize for anything I said which may be found offensive.

    • @AlexReidStudios
