@@Terry-zs4ir what type of reliability issues have you faced? I have heard that some people have one without any major issues and then others have one that are forever in the shop. I’ve got a 2004 Terracan but I do love the D4
@@nomad.overland I have a 2015 SDV6 so it’s the diesel. Iv had it since Feb this year and have converted it to a single person camper. While I personally have no issues as of yet it’s always in the back of your mind, some have had crankshaft problems. But after loads of research have found it to be caused by diesel dilution of the engine oil caused by out euro 5 and 6 specifications. A successful work around is changing the oil every 4k miles, air suspension can cause problems but some have the coil over conversion which I will do at some point it when/if the air suspension fails. Apart from that there is nothing any different from a new off road vehicle. They all have electrics and are not that hard to diagnose. That said I have 17 years as a diesel mechanic. (Many years ago) All in all I’ve been happy with it,
@@Terry-zs4ir that’s fantastic. It’s lucky that you’ve got the skills to work on the Disco 4. Not many are that lucky. Further question: would you be interested in sending me some of the LR4 pictures? I can post them to the Community Forum here for others to see (and give credit to you as well). No pressure of course.
@@nomad.overland no idea how to send pics. But I do plan on a short video to showcase. It’s a minimal build given the limited space but have managed a load of storage under the camper floor.
Thanks for the video! I'm upgrading from an LR3, is it possible for you to do a video on what we can port from the 3 to the 4? I have lots of new parts... Thanks again, 🤲🙏🌹
Thanks for the comment. And that's an excellent question. My initial thinking is: what do you currently have in your LR3? Let me do some research on the topic for you and I'll get back to you though. Could you post some of your current equipment?
I know really huh? I can't figure out why my videos don't garner some comments. BUT you're first! Woohoo. I would agree with both of those. Though to be fair I have seen them selling in my area for about 20-30K, which considering their original selling price is a good deal. You could go with a Disco 3 as well for half that amount.
What do you think the biggest PRO & CON of the Discovery 4 is? Comment down below!
Very comfortable ride
@@cerealboxtoys I test drive a used one. They are very plush!
Pros, great 4x4, comfortable, cons potential problems with reliability. I have one and very happy with it.

Wanted to ask what current LR3 model year you have and what LR4 model year you're considering
@@karimalameddine5092 greetings. Based on your question I posted a shirt video response as per your request. I hope you find it helpful!
For real no comments? #first lol
Cons. It's expensive.
Pros, it's comfortable AF
