Went to school with Ryan and see him around Christmas and other holidays from time to time. Definitely an amazing individual with and without a guitar.

Ryan is one of my favorite guitarist i liked his work when he was with Arsis so when i found out he was going with Black Dahlia Murder i knew he would make that band more badass and he did so far i love all their albums

To my screen blinded eyes its the Paul Gilbert octave trick with tapping, hence the string skip being necessary. An easier one to digest initially, so that you can manage the more difficult examples in time.
Ibanez needs to make that FR a sig model for him.

Hey Ryan, are you able to give advice on removing unwanted string noise when doing full legato patterns, especially moving from low to high strings
One thing I've found is to mute anything lower than the string you're playing with the palm of your picking hand, similar to palm muting, whilst your fretting hand mutes anything higher
