Dear Jerry, I came here today because I love you very much, and I can see how much you are suffering. You are such a kind, loving, intelligent bearded dragon , and I am so proud of everything you have achieved over the years. You have a solid support system around you made up of friends and family, and all of us only want good things for you, which is why we are here today to talk about your calcium use and urge you to get help. Over the past year, your behavior has changed. You are using calcium more and more frequently, and it has damaged a lot of areas of your life. Your boss threatened to fire you last month after you missed work too many days in a row and were even caught doing calcium during work hours. You’ve even been arrested for possession. And last month, I felt so scared when I took you to the emergency room after an accidental calcium overdose. Jerry I love you but I can’t love you to death. Please accept this gift of treatment.
no bones about it, he's getting in pretty deep. it might be time to check into a vitamin d-tox facility. hopefully he can powder through. we're rooting for you, Jerry!
Congratulations! 14 is a wonderful litter! My biggest litter has been 17, but I know of breeders who've gotten more than 20. The fact that those babies are so feisty is a good sign they're healthy (I may be biased, I like the spicy ones). I recommend a small hide or two (I use tp rolls for babies ), but those bins look like wonderful baby setups. You are so right about how fast they grow, and how small they start off
I’m super curious about what the big dip in that one babies back was. They seemed super fiesty and energetic so I’m rooting for the lil guy! Have you ever seen something like that?
@@leocervidaeI'm curious too, only things I can think of are muscle and/or rib deformity. Not sure how bendy the ribs are naturally so could be they're either too frail or the muscles are too weak to give them the shape they need, but since Em said they were able to puff up I would guess it's the ribs? The rib cage goes all the way down to their hips after all so there has to be something weird going on in that region, with good luck if it's just frail bones it could get fixed with extra calcium
Ugh I love the chaotic text chats with the animals. Tbh I would so binge watch videos of the animals text chats and I'm curious how cohesive and how their characters developed in just their chats over the years xD
Emily peeling them apart in the tub was relatable sibling content tbh. I too would have tried to fit my brother's entire head in my mouth at the first opportunity 😂
There was a blue tongue lizard that lived under the house I grew up in. During the summer when it got really hot it used to come in our back door to the laundry, drink from my dogs water bowl, cool down on the tiles and head back home under the house when she was all rested up. She also used to sunbake on the wooden path through our garden. They really are very sweet reptiles.
We had a blue tongue skink as our class pet in 2nd grade! We always fought over who got to feed her and we had a whole science unit based on someone "kidnapping" her and having to use forensic clues to figure out who it was (it was our school librarian).
I’m Australian, and love that you guys in the US like our lizards (beardies and blue tongues). I wonder if there would be as much love for the third of the the trio the Shingle Back (or sleepy lizard as we call them). Not as pretty as blue tongues, but very unique little potatoes.
shinglebacks are blue tongues, and they have a number of colours, shinglebacks are very expensive and rare for foreigners because of them being monogamous and only having 1-4 babies at a time. the foreigner nickname for them is pinecones.
shinglebacks are considered like the holy grail for US lizard keepers, as only a few were ever imported before they became banned and they breed slowly.
9:24 FYI FOR ANYONE WANTING TO TRY THIS MOSS: you still have to check it for sticks/stems. I get this brand and there is always at least a couple in the whole bundle. You also sometimes you have to hydrate it with boiling water or it will immediately sprout white mold, especialy if you dont use it very often and its left sitting
I feel like that brand has decreased in quality over the past few years. It’s just a hunch, but I feel like it’s got more debris now. Luckily I don’t need it for animals, just my plants, so the odd stick won’t hurt them. But I imagine it’s annoying to have to process it before use
Sincerely hope the usage of it decreases regardless - even with the longer waiting periods of NZ, it's really not a sustainable product. @@PondScummer
Ikr it is hilarious casually like ok let not get caught casually as sibling get catch and is like you don’t see me but a million people see you in the background escape Emily is so hilarious
Yup, hopefully they do that regularly and now they simply didn't have smaller rocks on hand? Like when I got my Indonesian blue tongue I used my big collection of pretty beach rocks to fill the bottom of their pool but I doused them with boiling water first and scrubbed them clean too, so maybe they had to do that first. Since they didn't expect to need to separate them immediately it would make sense they didn't have those prepared
How did she have room for internal organs! Oh my gods that's absolutely incredible! They must weigh at least as much as she does right?! Wow, Ringpop, that is some overachieving mommaness right there! I've been obsessed with animals, and nature, since I was super little, and I've seen so many astonishing things, but the ratio of baby volume to momma volume here is utterly gobsmacking!!! I hope Ringpop gets spoiled with all the tastiest goodies for the next year, at least! PS, like many, the "don't you body shame her!" from Ed just stole my wizened, old heart!
Ikr? Sometimes animals have the most insane reproductive systems. That skink had alot of babies for her size. Kiwi birds are pretty wild too in that regard. Like, they can't have twins because a single egg fills most of a kiwi bird's body mass.
I love blue tongued skinks❤ my science teach had one in a big ol tank in our class room. If your whole table was well behaved during tests you could earn a visit from Syd (yep like Sydney Australia) and he would just wander around the tabletop and cuddle up to people. He was super chill and friendly such a cool animal
I speak from experience it's worth the wait. I've wanted a blue tongue for 8 years and I recently was able to get one and Jackie in everything I'd hoped he'd be.
I get my reptile joy vicariously. So many are both beyond my budget and unfair to keep anything that will outlive me. So I enjoy my outside snakes and these videos.

Hilarious. Love all the commentary during this informative video "14 babie!". And when she calls them "rude" when they're trying to slip out of the box.
We used to have these in our strawberry patch. For the low price of a big chunk out of any nice-looking strawberries, they kept the slugs and snails at bay.

People think that they’re for little kids, but I’m in my late teens years and I still watch them! They’re very entertaining and informative.
I fell in love with the runt and the one with the possible defect immediately. I'm like yes, those are the two for me 🤣
I love the runt too ❤❤❤❤
I alway root for the runts. They just need some extra care and a very stubborn human if they don’t have a stubborn personality already.
The dented one should be named Denny.😊
I hope they both do well, especially worried for the dented one. I hope he's ok.
The dented one looked like it was a collapsed/punctured lung. Probably won’t make it.
The wave of blue tongues sticking out every time Emily moves near their bin is hilarious and adorable
I would love an update on the runt and, particularly, the one with the back dent. I'm so curious if it's skeletal or abnormally developed organ(s)...
I was thinking that as well. Hope we get an update on those two sweeties at some point!
I need an update too!
Runts are precious. They have to work so many times harder to survive and from my experience, have amazing personalities.
