They mention in the video that within 12 minutes of leaving her alone with her new pool she’d already caused that massive flood. Each clip has a time stamp for every period of pure Rex destruction in the mere minutes she was left alone.
Years later I still love this video. The first moments when they realized how much of a ‘real’ gator Rex really is. Incredibly smart and active and destructive. The fact that she came so far after her poor care is an amazing testament to both her and how amazing gators really are. Seeing her at the facility now is just amazing.
I love it too. Crocodilians can survive some nasty stuff, but also lots of credit to Emily and Ed for trying their best to give this pint sized alligator in freaking MINNESOTA a good home/environment.

When Rex first came to you, she was tore up and in a very bad condition. Now I love to see her really healthy and how she loves you both so much. It was very cute seeing her play with her toys, and she continues to melt my heart everyday.

My dog has one too, we have had it going on 2 years, she still hasn’t managed to do any more damage than a few scratches to the outside of it. She loves it and thrashes it around from the handle sometimes lol
Yeah! They’re great for horses and dogs. I used to have one before my horse passed on for him, and he’d knock it all over the pasture. Then I actually used to sell them when I worked in a pet supply store, and they’re fantastic for dogs, especially aggressive chewers. It’s a favorite toy of both a border collie and a boxer who I petsit as well. Absolutely great toys.
Rex is so derpy and cute, and is like, "I play when the hoomans are away!" It would really be fun to watch Rex spin like a mad torpedo for hours, though! I would like to see a bit more on some of your animals, like Taco or your pet fish.

I've been obsessively watching rex's journey since it recently came on my radar and so the delivery of 3:35 "nick, that weird goat guy," had me busting up bc Emily literally just said the same thing as she did in the clip driving past him. It was just a quick moment but it was comedy gold for me lol.

It’s so nice to see that even though Rex doesn’t have what we’d consider a ‘normal life’ for an alligator - especially for her age - she still has a good quality of life & lots of enrichment & still can be seen exhibiting some behaviours that would be natural for her in the wild! Just goes to show how well Emily & Ed take care of her & the time/effort they put in to researching & finding resources for her 👏🏻 She’s a happy gator - nice job guys 💚🐊

Quick tip for water everywhere: a basic carpet shampooer will suck up any water just as well as a wet/dry vacuum. No need to use soap, just use the suck function.
I had a Jolly ball and my german shepherd shredded the handle off of it after 3 months of constant thrashing and tugging on it. I can't believe an alligator hasn't destroyed it yet. WOW!
A german shepherd (or any dog really) has molars that act like scissors Alligators have conical teeth, meaning they're pointy like a needle but not sharp like a blade So Rex can poke a million holes in it but not actually cut it up like your dog managed to

I've been obsessively watching rex's journey since it recently came on my radar and so the delivery of 3:35 "nick, that weird goat guy," had me busting up bc Emily literally just said the same thing as she did in the clip driving past him. It was just a quick moment but it was comedy gold for me lol.

It’s so nice to see that even though Rex doesn’t have what we’d consider a ‘normal life’ for an alligator - especially for her age - she still has a good quality of life & lots of enrichment & still can be seen exhibiting some behaviours that would be natural for her in the wild! Just goes to show how well Emily & Ed take care of her & the time/effort they put in to researching & finding resources for her 👏🏻 She’s a happy gator - nice job guys 💚🐊

I had a Jolly ball and my german shepherd shredded the handle off of it after 3 months of constant thrashing and tugging on it. I can't believe an alligator hasn't destroyed it yet. WOW!
