A stall tactic I think is quite interesting is using Bellibolt with Thunderbolt, Chilling Water, a recovery move, and Protect. As well as Flying Tera Type, and Leftovers. Chilling Water actually lowers the Attack of the opponent, and hard counters ground types. If you land a few, Earthquake does basically nothing, and it has the bulk to survive at least one. Then it’s attack gets lowered and you can then either protect to get a bit of extra health from Leftovers, or if you have enough Hp left, use the recovery move. You can then proceed to abuse the Sp. Atk stat of Bellibolt and take down the ground type, and if you are really in a pinch, just terrestalize.
I don't understand the flying tera on garchomp. You are still weaker to ice with a couple strong ice pokemons in the meta. Why don't you run a more defensive type?
Most of Garchomp's purpose isn't to live hits, it's to chip opponents down and set hazards. Having a range of resists isn't important, because Garchomp is never hoping to 1v1 things like Bundle and Chien Pao; beating important spinners like Great Tusk is important.
tbh I think gen 9 saved stall more than anything. with the nerf and the hiperoffensive (HO) meta, stall went from brainless annoying win strat to reasonable strat to beat the brainless HO teams. but anyway, the meta is a total mess. just nerfing stall didn't solve anything, they needed to nerf stall AND focus on making good defensive mons instead of all offense. not only would that balance offense/defense, it would also allow for good defensive strats that don't need shit like toxic + protect. just bulky mons that can absorb hits and support the team or hit back, with a bit of recovery that's now nerfed to 5 PP so it's ok
@@garvitdhamija1611 Flinch chance can be useful but missing sucks. A lot of the time with a mon like Chien Pao you're also looking to one-shot the opponent or hit them on a switch out, so the flinch chance doesn't come up as often as missing one in every ten attacks.
