Yuji's VA when asked about this episode said that it was the last episode with a funny/happy atmosphere. Take in all the good times now. Because Gege is an absolute menace. Man does not know where the brakes are. So happy Mahito is back. I love his playful and simultaneously cruel nature. Coupled with the fact that he's an antagonist who is currently learning and growing as he fights. This is going to be a wild ride.

Mechamaru had a heavenly pact like Maki and Toji, it's a different type but still, you can't really heal something like that unless you're Mahito.
Yeah, Mahito’s Cursed Technique is actually very unique, not even Sukuna can directly mess with souls
It's very interesting because from what we know, heavenly pacts can't really be messed with. They seem absolute. And yet Mahito is able to basically take away Mechamarus's pact's downside.

Swordsmith village arc wasn't as well animated and they even used noticeably Cgi that didn't look bad but the lower quality in comparison with the previous seasons that took atleast 2 years each was evident.
Didn't see anyone comment this yet but the reason why Yuji is so set on watching Human Earthworm 4 is because that's the series that him and Junpei originally bonded over.
(This fact is from another user, but they have to know it.) The reason why Shibuya is everyone's favorite arc is because it's the turning point of the story. No more games, no more fun, just seriousness. Even the MC had to adapt to the change.

I'm comparing it to Marineford in the sense that just like that arc, t's chock full of high-octane chaos, tons of fights and epic moments, and earth-shattering changes to the status quo by the end of the arc. But given JJK's pacing vs that of One Piece, I'd actually say it's gonna be a lot better. If the season ends where I think it will, there's not gonna be a moment to rest, a lot of us manga readers have been questioning if they really can cram the whole arc into the remaining 17 episodes, which based on what was shown in the intro, THEY DID. If they manage to succeed, this is gonna be a legendary season for anime IN GENERAL.

The opening reveals so much lucky in anime onlies are unable to spot the details but for manga readers the hype was insane seeing that opening the song was great and well and the hand signs seen was just so good honestly you’ll see in for a ride this month

Mechamaru one of the best characters man. His brief and subtle happiness was so realistically done and hit so hard.
Mechamaru reminded me of Robot from Invincible, he went behind his friends back to get a new body and after that send his robots to attack the bad guys.
This arc is by far the most depressing, but also the most epic of all the arcs so far.
It’s non-stop hands.

I love this show. Even the little moments that seem like filler can be so meaningful. The peaceful serenity of the scenery to remind you it can be a beautiful world. The it's like that comments that remind you these are still high school aged characters who are facing down such serious really dark and depressing things to keep others safe. I think itadori wanted to see that movie cause he's a fan of the franchise and because junpei also would have wanted to see it. This arc is gonna go crazy but even little simple moments between the crazy can be awesome. Enjoy the serenity while it lasts. Remember that there is sunlight around the corner when you find yourself in the darkest of days.
I love that Nobara and Itadori are so much like a brother/sister couple that when he showed that freaking Earthworm Jim trailer to her, after she even invites him to go shopping with her. lol. Gotta love her.
Mei is one of my fav chars and I wish she got more screen time. Turning the lights off on Todo was a power move lmao.
The trio back together has me giddy.

Info on how Mechamaru's cursed energy works!
Basically Mechamaru has heavenly restriction if you recall Toji also has heavenly restriction, but the difference is that they're the complete opposite. Toji has 0 curse energy but gains immense physical strength, Mechamaru has immense cursed energy but in return his physical strength is very weak which is why he's bound to those pipes and stuff. Now since Mahito healed Mechamaru's body, his heavenly restriction stopped but he still have years worth of cursed energy that he's been storing while he's bound to those pipes and stuff. So now he's using all those stored up cursed energy in his fight against Mahito.

It's hella sad every time I watch that part with Yuji wanting to watch Human Earthworm 4. Because it's obviously a way to reminisce and try to hold onto those few memories he has of Junpei. Because Junpei was obsessed with it and that was how he and Yuji bonded, watching it with his friends is Yuji trying to get them to replicate what Junpei would have been as a friend.
