ive done rear brake lines that way for years. works fine, never had one fail. front brakes seem to have a lot more fluid volume, and maybe pressure so they do not last, but can get you by in a pinch until you get the time or money to replace the line. same thing works well for gm 5/16 and 3/8 fuel lines.

Thank you sir my only question is did you have to add any hose or did the fitting itself work and that tip my trans leak did the job
