I don't usually take shortcuts like that, but for an old rust bucket, this is a great solution. I have the same problem. I would rather replace with real lines, but I don't want the hassle of possibly breaking the rad connection, and that does happen. Its absolute BS that these lines are made of rusting metal.

Thanks after all the videos i watched yours was the only one that actually took the time and explained each step so now i know what i need to do mines is not a Ford but basically its doing the same thing but on a Audi A4 all i need is to replace the cooling line. Absolutely phenomenal video! Great advice! You should add the year and model truck to description or title . I was looking for a video to repair the same truck and found this by searching generic trans line fixes.

Thanks for this video. I had my transmission line blow out on the highway and was able to limp off to a parking lot. I am heading out to change out the crustiest for rubber as you show here.

Glad to see it worked ill remember the fix.
On the brake lines, if youre handy with a flaring tool you can replace the old steel lines with copper tubing. Copper tubing will never rust and will last forever. It will easily handle the fluid psi

Did you use regular heater hose? Or did you use fuel line rated to 200 psi?

We sold that rig but I’m sure it is. Those rubber lines will outlast the steel.

There is no "pressure line" It's all under the same pressure.

That’s a temporary fix as it’s not a lot of pressure at idle but god forbid if your towing or pushing the truck to where pressure starts to build it will come apart….. a more successful fix is to flare the line ends but it’s definitely a pain in those tight area’s
