    4:59 So you are burning outside air and not depleting the interior oxygen, I like that.

    Hahaha I save all my burned out citronella candles and use that to make starters, I also save my egg cartons. I soak my wood chips in paraffin lamp oil take egg carton cup put a big fluffy wad of dryer lint in cup put soaked wood chips in cup fold fluffy lint over top then take melted candle wax wet the entire cup down with wax let cool and you have a 10 15 minute burn time with big hot flame.

    Glad to see you have figured out all the kinks in the stove and are happy with the Liberator. I know Liberator suggests using galvanized 4" metal for your intake pipe, but the dryer hose would be a lot easier to install. Any heat issues with it at all?

      Absolutely no heat at all there's cold are going through there all the time

    Great stoves. This will be our 2nd winter with one. I use a propane torch like yours but no fire starter. I have a glass door also . I drop the glass down on the propane tube at full burn & light the basket. It takes off after about 30 - 45 seconds.
    I have a black painted plug on the front side intake & just an open intake on other side.

      Yes we could do that too if we wanted to very very fine we have had no problems after we find tuned the basket to the pellet Hopper tube.

    Do you ever burn just wood splits? I'm wondering on burn times of that.
    Thanks

    For the air to reach the basket, does it pass through the feed tube pellets?
    Thanks so much for your answer.

    With an opening in a stainless steel conduit, wood insert,
    - if the conduit is larger in size at the outlet of the wood insert -
    and a PC or Sunon type fan in 220v ?

    Thanks for sharing the video. You mentioned that you hardly have to clean out the pipe. You’re referring to the pipe that extends down from the hopper, correct? Also, how often are you having to clean your stove pipe going into the wall and chimney pipe? Thanks!

    • @tinbender998
      @tinbender998  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes that is correct since I got the hopper pipe correctly adjusted to 19 and 3/8 I have not had to clean that 2 inch pipe. And yes I clean my 6-in pipe once every 1 ton of pellets but I don't have to you can extend it a little longer it burns pretty clean you only have white fly ash and there is no creosote zero in fact none..

  • @mayamachine
    @mayamachine 5 місяців тому

    I'm seriously considering this stove, I'm off grid in Northern Maine, using a terrible non vented propane wall furnace, so much moisture. my life depends on reliable heat. Am I to understand you can adjust that feed tube, you didn't modify it? Also do your pellets ever jam? have you burned wood?thanks for the video.

    • @tinbender998
      @tinbender998  5 місяців тому +1

      This stove I would say is a five star stove okay it runs flawlessly for me and my wife but we understand it and I've tried to make videos to let other people know the only reason the pellets would hang up is if the basket is not lined up with the tube and if the shut-off valve at the base of the hopper is shoved in just a little bit sometimes it'll prevent the pellets to come down but that's easy you just make sure it's not shoved in at all. And I like to bring 5 to 6 bags inside my house at a time and that kind of helps to keep the pellets dryer but we have had no problems since we adjusted our tube 19 and 3/8 of an inch

      As for burning wood I haven't quite figured out how to do that chunks work a lot better than kindling but you're going to have to get some sort of system on how to chunk your wood it's I have not figured that out yet I just haven't it's been kind of a roadblock for me so yes it'll burn wood just fine but you have to chunk it up and you have to Chunk up your presto logs also chunk those up also anyways there you go.

      @@tinbender998 I'm planning on pellets, but I've got a free source of hardwood chunks from a nearby furniture shop. I know a lot about RMH was going to build, but want something that works without experimenting. I am planning to use a mass, I like your bench, but might just go vertical with the mass. I'll check out your videos and follow you. when I'm set up I'll share my experiences. I've watched this stove since it started, I follow walker stoves and Paul Weaton, built temporary outdoor rocket mass heaters.

    Have you had the pellet hopper fill with smoke?

    • @tinbender998
      @tinbender998  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes several times it drove us crazy we thought we made a huge mistake until I figured out how to adjust the pipe to the burn basket. The pipe is adjusted 19 and 3/8 that leaves a 1/8 of an inch for the set screw just barely on the edge of the pipe then I make sure my burn basket is directly underneath the pipe every single time I go to burn that has solved it for us and it has been running flawlessly with no smoke for almost a year now..

    How many hours does the stove burn until you have to refill the pellets?

  • @theoracle5265
    @theoracle5265 7 місяців тому

    I bought one of these stoves and there are some things I experienced I bought mine with the pellet hopper and the pellets almost caught fire in the hopper so I stopped using the pellet hopper and just burned wood. The ceramic fiber boards only lasted 2 1/2 months into the burn season before exposing the 1/8" steel in the burn chamber causing it to glow cherry red, this has happened last year and this year FYI

    • @tinbender998
      @tinbender998  7 місяців тому

      Yes I had the same smoking creosote problem in my Hopper tube butt I found out that you need to fine-tune it to your pellet basket I made a video on it mine's been working flawlessly ever since you need to adjust the pellet Hopper tube too 19 and 3/8 of an inch. Then line the basket directly under it .and there will be no more smoke and no more creosote. And don't forget about the cookie sheet between the hopper and the barrel. 👍
