Hello, i wrote a message on p2academy but no one answered, i want to buy the animation course for a friend, may you tell me how i can do It whitout sharing my card info? Tnx
Between this and the previous video, viewport play backs will run so much smoother and better looking! I may not have to rely on frame dropping or audio playback modes. Thx pierrick!
Can you please do a vid, or direct me if you already did: The specific design of Weight paints on the Inner elbow joints - to stop "straw" bendy arm? Ive had a problem for a year: I have an advanced Rig that has 2 extra bones in the arm, to control weights for the Inner elbow bend (forearm muscle flex), and outer elbow bone-point. The problem is I use Auto Rig Pro to remake my Rig. And problem2: I want to retarget to use UE anims (so I cant use Constraints in Blender > Export SK character > Import SK into UE, since Constraints wont work in anims that dont have a keyframe for the elbow bone to relax/contract. So I was thinking that the easiest solution to make all anims bend my elbow correctly, is to remove the 2 special elbow bone weights, and assign those verts (the crease) to the Lower Arm bone, but in the correct way to let the Forarm (lower arm) keep its round shape when elbow bends, instead of squishing like a bent straw. So do you know the proper crease design for that? (The other problem is I have to apply this Weight change to all my long sleeve clothe Meshes. So can you also show the correct way to Transfer a specific Bone weight group > to another Mesh? Im not sure if I use Projected or the other options, for clothes that dont perfectly match the arm surface.) Ty.
Good video Pierrick, Request : I wonder if you can make a video on how to create and use helper deformation bones to preserve the character's volume when moving the body and how to weight paint them correctly to avoid the "Candy wrapper" effect. *The Candy wrapper effect for those of you who don't know, is when the vertices twist around an area and shrink instead of preserving their volume, due to fast and cheap deformation algorithm for the sake of performance, you would mostly notice it around the arm-pits, the pelvis when you move them and when you flex the arms and legs. (You can see how your model is suppose to look like correctly when you enable the "Preserve volume" setting under armature). *For some project, we can't use the "Preserve volume" settings under armature modifier as other engines do not support dual quaternion that are required for preserve volume to work and are slower to calculate.
Hi!, Im interesting to buy the Alive course but I have some a questions, can I follow the course with a characther that use riggify or is better use the characther provide by Pierrick?
you can use your own human for the human walk/run cycle stuff; that's what i did. there are other sequences for like a squirrel and a mech, and those models are provided for you to use.
Shadows can slow things down for me when enabled. So I test off and on. My current project is so big I’ve had to go through a ton of settings and optimizations. There are a lot of variables
Hi Pierrick, I purchased your ALIVE course in 2021 on Blender Market and never ended up watching it since I felt overwhelmed with everything. I finally decided to get back to blender after 2 years and I saw an email from you (from 2 years ago) with a coupon code. I'm unable to figure out how to use that code on your new website so I can start watching the courses there. Would you be able to guide me with this? THANKS

Salut Pierrick, rien à voir avec la vidéo mais, je voulais savoir si tu connais des salons à Paris ou ile de france pour réseauter dans le domaine de l'anim 3D ?
Pierrick, first, thank you so much for such great tutorials. I have a question though: I remember you released a video a long time ago suggesting some learning resources for different 3D areas if I remember correctly. I can't find it no matter how much I search. Can you link it to me?
Hey pierrick! I've tested your tip and it looks awesome!! Thanks for sharing your amazing techniques :D I used the robot from the alive course for testing this method, but i noticed that i baked all the textures and i forgot to put the rocket and the rocket cap outside so that it bakes with the proper textures, and when i try to "rebake" the rocket textures it starts rebaking all textures from the begging instead of only the rocket texture, do you know a method to replace or rebake certain textures of the robot?
Sure! Just select the object you want to bake and uncheck « cleare image » from the bake menu. The new pixels will be baked on top of the existing ones
It seems the alive! course is for 3d animators who wants to work in games. If you don't mind me asking is there a full course to learn 3d animation for feature films also(acting,etc..)?.The alive! course is amazing.

omg thank you pierrick!
What do you think about cascadeur?
Awesome guide !!! Any tips on improving blender's rig UI or just rigify, would love a video on it❤
PIC❤UT!
Hello Familly, 😃
All together push to the 100K for Pierrick.
Share with all you're friends. Have a Good Day. 🙏
THANK U Pierrick.
Thanks 😘

those tips are just super usefull... i like how you think ! :D
Man .... I want to say to u... Thanks the knowledge u giveing as . U r the best . Thank u so much ❤️ .
im using daz chars so there udims but not in the same way as your character...how do i go about this process?

Yes, shadows being more to calculate.
While it’s not that much, it depends on your scene complexity and your computer.
Removing them will help
huh I had no Idea that the selected texture node effected the texture used in the viewport shader
just found out it has no effect if the render mode is set to workbench

Nope
Thanks Pierrick for another great productivity tip.
