  • Hello and welcome to my channel. This video is going to show you how you can use your vinyl cutting machine to make washable screen printing screens. This is perfect for small batch screen printing and especially helpful for crafters with little storage space.

this is a great video ! is it safe to say that if you heat press your htv to the screen that you cant take the vinyl off the screen to reuse after washing it ?

Yes you are right but I have used normal permanent vinyl on these screens before and it works well for a one off screen print. I didn’t have luck doing it with small detailed designs but it worked well for a simple design!

Great video. Never thought of using HTV to add to a screen. Have you tried coating and exposing a screen?

I haven’t but I really want to. I’d like to advance to using multiple colors and I think that will give me the best result. One day :)

@@steffeystitch it’s super easy to do. The only trick is getting exposure times right, but even that is easy using an exposure chart. I remember before I learned to do that It was such a daunting task, but once I did it a few times, I was able to get it right every time. The most difficult part is the actual print, but you already got that perfectly!

That is reassuring!! The exposing is the part I am most nervous for. I think when my illustration skills improve I’ll give it a try 😅
