Patrice, I just want to start off by saying, you're very beautiful. I watched a few videos for beginners and your instructions were very good and clear. Too easy! I've been wanting to silk screen for quite some time to add on to my current small time business of making paracord bracelets. Thank you and God Bless.
I have had this kit for a while and I’ve been nervous to try it out. This video is just what I needed to see! Thank you for the detailed explanation. I appreciate you.
Hey Patrice I just saw on the Design Bundle YT video that they used an old Cricut mat as the inside barrier to stop the paint from going through the back side. Also, because the mat is sticky it kept the shirt in place when you lift up the screen. Tracey
Oh my God im in love with your tutorial. Thank you so much you made is look so easy. I m gonna try it. Sure to get side eyes from my kids and hubby. God bless ❤
........ Great instructional video ..... all of what we need and none of what we don't ..... ? ... is heating the print afterwards a must ... what happens when you don't .... TIA ....
Nice job Patrice! Reminded me of a Goonies sweatshirt my daughter did years…ago. She made a stencil from butcher paper using the Silhouette. She mixed acrylic paint with a textile medium because that’s what we had on hand or fabric paint can be used. After drying 24 hours it had to be heat set. It’s been years before this happened but the paint has started to crack but it’s still wearable but again it was many years before that happened.
Love it. This seems to be a easy-to-use process. I have a Lawncare client that needed shirts. And I told him HTV won't be durable enough for everyday but screen print last longer for his needs. Thanks for sharing.
Same as layering vinyl. Cut each layer on a different stencil. I then either let each layer dry by itself, or dry the layer with a heat gun. Then either go to your next layer or press under heat press AFTER drying, between each layer.
Hi, I love this video but I have a couple questions! Did you use the vinyl pages that came in the kit to create your template? Are the screens and the template reusable, can it be all washed off and used again later? Or will I need to peel the template off and throw it away?
Hi Shay! Not sure if you watched the video. The gray vinyl that I took out of the kit is the vinyl that I used as I was specifically showing the Speedball kit and it’s contents and how to use. I also addressed using it again. In fact, I washed one out and reused it in this video. Happy Crafting!
Have you tried Screen printing something on a shirt then using screen printing confetti? I'm new to the SP world just order my supplies off Amazon, I asked another UA-cam if she tried the SP and then using the confetti... I like to try different thing and different way.. I can't do anything the simple way so I am going to try it to see if it works 🤪🤪
You can screen print on various items without any special coating or process. You can screen print on cotton also. As far as vinyl. A jar of ink will give you way more presses than a roll of htv. Also, you save time with not having to weed. Now, I’ll probably do an actual review once I’ve done it more and include it as an option for my clients.
Hi and thanks for the video. I am part of your FB group and followed the link here. have a Speedball set of supplies I've yet to open n use. I normally sublimate or use vinyl but this is a very good way to go especially if you can reuse the stencil. Did you use a 631 vinyl to cut for your stencil? Thanks
So I followed along with your video and did fabulous last night but for some reason I tried to make a new template and I keep bombing...what kind of vinyl should I purchase to make the stencil?
I have tried multiple times to get the vinyl to stick to the screen and it won’t stick at all. Tried 3 different brands of permanent vinyl and 3 different brands of transfer tape. I also broke a scraper pushing as hard as possible and it still won’t stick at all. What can I do?
That's odd. What product/mesh are you using? I'm using everything that came in this kit in this video and I have not had any issues with the permanent vinyl that it comes with or with oracle 651. I've even used Dollar Tree permanent vinyl and that worked. Are you placing the side with the adhesive on it against the mesh?
@@CraftableThings oracle 651 and speedball screen. The vinyl doesn’t stick at all. What transfer tape do you recommend that I can buy since the 3 I have tried don’t seem to work

Thank you soooo much, Stacy 💕

Hey Tracey!!! Wow!!!! That is a great idea! Perfect. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to head over to DB to check it out. 💕
@@CraftableThings I immediately thought of you and it's the least I can do! Thanks for all you do and share.

Nice I love screen printing make wood sign easy
Thanks! I can't wait to try a larger piece of wood.
Thanks.
Did you use a phone for the design?
How do you send the image from the phone to the cricut machine?
Great video! Clear and super helpful!
Excellent explanation about how to make screen printing with vinyl. I wonder how you manage to clean the screen.
I spray water on it (medium pressure) and it comes right off.
You are always on time with the videos... its like you read my crafty mind lol.
Hey Mahogani!!! Thanks soooo much for watching 💕
#replay great video, love the screen painting your results look awesome
Thanks so much 😊
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Is the heat press step necessary or optional ? Im not sure if i missed you saying it or not.
I always heat press it. However, you can let it cure without heat pressing.
Can I use a regular iron to set in the ink in
Great job!! I will definitely be adding this to my crafting. Have a great day! Blessings to you and yours!
Hey Lisa!!! Thanks so much for watching! 💕
Excellent tutorial!
Hey Patrice! Thx for giving us the game!

Hey Jeannine!!! Thanks so much for watching!!!
I just recently added screen printing to what I already do. I do my shirt, pot holders, etc while my tumblers are turning
Jessica, you are busy girl! I love it! Congrats on adding screen printing to your business. I am considering adding it to the services that I provide.

What did you use to wash your screen
Can you save the stencils? This is amazing and I am so glad I got to watch this. Thank you

Hey Patrice! I bought my screen printing kit about 2 or 3 months ago but I haven't opened the box yet. Thanks for the motivation🤗🤗
Another question, can you reuse the tshirt form once the ink dries?
yes, you can!
Girl, I've had this kit for about 6 months. smh!
I think I don't feel AS bad any more🤣🤣🤣
Your video was so detailed and clear thank you! New subbie!
Thanks so much for watching & subbing!!!

Love the screen print I must give it a try. Good job 👍🏽
Hey Sheron! It was super easy.
hey Patrice how many times have you washed the shirt and how has it helped up through the washes?
It’s still vibrant!
Nice tutorial. Thanks!!!
This was very helpful. Thank you!
I don’t have the seed ball kit can the steps still apply to for another kit?
I’m ordering this today, thank you. Can we use multiple colors on a shirt
yes you can. I'm just not sure how yet. That's the next thing I'm going to do.

Hey Do you know if you can screen print on poly mailers? Btw Great job Girl!!!!
Hey Lovely Ruth! Thanks so much! Yes, you can. Well, I've seen others do it. I can't wait to try. You just have to let it dry for a few hours.

You did that sis, is their any fabric/material we can’t do it on?
I got my answer lol

Patrice that is awesome ❤️ I’m going to do that as soon as my heat press is fixed or replaced.
What app or software are you using to do the stencil?
What is the name of font you are using

Hi MelMaryland!!! Only use permanent (651). The adhesive is stronger and allows for multiple uses.
So I followed along with your video and did fabulous last night but for some reason I tried to make a new template and I keep bombing...what kind of vinyl should I purchase to make the stencil?
I prefer Oracal 651...the vinyl should be permanent.

En Argentina cómo se consigue esta máquina para crear vinilos?
