  • How to program your Melnor Hydrologic Electronic water timer. You can use this guide for the 1-4 zone models as the programming is the same. I show the whole manual in the video as well.
    Having an automatic water timer is super convenient and I 100% recommend it for watering the garden or the lawn.

    Thanks for this video!! I used this timer last summer, but when I went to set it up this spring I couldn't find the manual and didn't remember everything. Panic!. When I replaced the batteries, the memory had stored what I did last year !! Great unit!! But your help has me in the driver's seat again. Thanks too for showing a copy of the manual.

    My time changes from regular time to army time.. I've had one of these for two or three years, and it has never done that before. How do I get it to stay on regular time?

    I have an older model that does not have a "cycle" button. It's a 2 zone. How would I set that to water twice each day? Help!

    Mike, got it set up seems to be working. My problem is how do I pair it to my phone so I can watch it on my phone rather than running out here looking at the timer

    How often do you have to change the batteries? Using one of these in our community garden.

      I used mine for 2 summer seasons (May-Sept) with the same energizer double AA batteries. But it will depend how often the unit is watering and the quality of the batteries.

    thanks very much. it was puzzling me. unfortunately this device cannot handle a bit of high water pressure. other than that it is perfect. I wonder what would be the alternative?

      you're welcome. How high is your water pressure? because a standard home in north america is about 50-60 PSI. anything higher can stress you plumbing, and possibly cause damage to other parts in your home.

      @@mikesyarden3187 I have a well with a 2 hp water pump for irrigation 3 acres of the backyard. Unfortunately, the Melnor Water Timer couldn't handle the pressure, it was not able to shut the water back off. other than that it is a great product.

      Add a drip 25psi pressure adapter tube $6 black plastic from HomeD. before timer.

    Great video. Is there a way to turn off cycles? For example I had cycle A and cycle B programmed but now I only want cycle A to run and not cycle B.

      I'm having the same problem. I used this last year on 3 zones and now I want 2 zones and when I hook it up the 2 would cycle when set but the two not set just gush out water. I've tried to set it 3 times.

    I'm confused with the every (1) day... it's kinda confusing
    I want it to water everyday... is it supposed to be set at 1 or 7 🤔

    • @mikesyarden3187
      @mikesyarden3187  Рік тому +3

      It is a bit confusing. it is suppose to be set at 1 (every day), if you set it to 7 it will water every 7 days (once a week)
