Thanks for this video!! I used this timer last summer, but when I went to set it up this spring I couldn't find the manual and didn't remember everything. Panic!. When I replaced the batteries, the memory had stored what I did last year !! Great unit!! But your help has me in the driver's seat again. Thanks too for showing a copy of the manual.
my dad got one similar to this but it was only two zones and I programmed it for him but it only ran the first cycle but not the second one. After watching this, I think I figured it out XD thank you
thanks very much. it was puzzling me. unfortunately this device cannot handle a bit of high water pressure. other than that it is perfect. I wonder what would be the alternative?
you're welcome. How high is your water pressure? because a standard home in north america is about 50-60 PSI. anything higher can stress you plumbing, and possibly cause damage to other parts in your home.
@@mikesyarden3187 I have a well with a 2 hp water pump for irrigation 3 acres of the backyard. Unfortunately, the Melnor Water Timer couldn't handle the pressure, it was not able to shut the water back off. other than that it is a great product.
I'm having the same problem. I used this last year on 3 zones and now I want 2 zones and when I hook it up the 2 would cycle when set but the two not set just gush out water. I've tried to set it 3 times.
I used mine for 2 summer seasons (May-Sept) with the same energizer double AA batteries. But it will depend how often the unit is watering and the quality of the batteries.
Mike, got it set up seems to be working. My problem is how do I pair it to my phone so I can watch it on my phone rather than running out here looking at the timer
My time changes from regular time to army time.. I've had one of these for two or three years, and it has never done that before. How do I get it to stay on regular time?
Your guide is the best on this unit. About to use it tomorrow for my customer! Thank you ❤
Thanks Mike. I did a quick search for instructions and your video was the only useful video on how to set the unit up.
Thank you for the video!! I was having a hard time programming four zones!!
no problem. It took me a while to figure it out. Glad this helped. Thank you

Thank you! My landscaper put in the timer and walked off with the instruction manual so this was perfect!!
Glad I could help :)
You made easy what starring at the instructions couldn’t do. Mahalo Mike!

@@mosesmegalli856 oh wow. the pressure from that must be really high.
Add a drip 25psi pressure adapter tube $6 black plastic from HomeD. before timer.
Hi! I need to use only one zone. How can I prevent irrigation from coming out in zone 2? I programmed only zone 1, but water comes out in zone 2.
Mine during the water day option does not give days of the week. The screen on mine is different than yours on time 1:45. Anyone have any ideas why?
Amazing. Ty
You're welcome
Great video. Is there a way to turn off cycles? For example I had cycle A and cycle B programmed but now I only want cycle A to run and not cycle B.

How often do you have to change the batteries? Using one of these in our community garden.

You cannot pair this model with your phone

I have an older model that does not have a "cycle" button. It's a 2 zone. How would I set that to water twice each day? Help!
Great video, complete and easy to follow step by step! 0:54
Glad it helped!
Zone 1 he set to water mon and wed, but then set to every 1 day.....which said was to water everyday. Confused?
How do i deselect a zone!! My unit has 3 zones but i only want two!! Can't figure out how to delete a zone!! Help
I'm confused with the every (1) day... it's kinda confusing
I want it to water everyday... is it supposed to be set at 1 or 7 🤔
It is a bit confusing. it is suppose to be set at 1 (every day), if you set it to 7 it will water every 7 days (once a week)
@@mikesyarden3187 thank you so much... i changed it to 1 and hopefully it waters everyday
Your videos awesome, thank you.
Thank you
