I have a new one for you, maybe. Let me know again I noticed that the flower bed looks a bit dry and I’ll check the timer. When I check the timer I find that it’s on either set time start water how long or how often. It’s almost like someone is messing with the settings. I would continue to think someone’s messing with a Settings if it weren’t for our security camera on the garage that has a motion sensor. The timer a few years old too. Ever have this issue?
Hi Nick, that might be a question best addressed to Melnor. My guess, however, is that there's a defect in the timer. Perhaps some corrosion or a sticky button that is causing it to enter that mode?
When you speak of #ZONES, I’m not sure if you mean timing zones or is your Melnor a Multi-Port waterer 💦 OR are you saying it’s a Multi-TIME Zone? I’ve had 3 Melnors for 4 years, and I swear, I’m still not sure how to program times in each day. The last 1 I bought has 2 watering ports. I THINK, but not sure if the “Port” is considered a zone. (where the different hoses are connected) OR the ZONE refers to a time of day. Okay, even reading this makes me more 🤷♀️ confused . Can you just clarify about the ZONES?
Willow Gates Landscaping -Thanks a lot. You know what? I finally found Melnor’s Specifications/Use Instruction’s for the 2 different waterers I have. And after all these years of some confusion, I finally discovered how to set multiple watering times for each day! Thanks so much for answering. It motivated me to read everything more carefully & now it all makes sense. I do like Melnor’s devices, they’re well made & hold up year after year.
Hi Bruce, it's been a few years since I last used one of these. I believe the bottom right button that says "manual" will turn it on. If you remove the batteries, that will default ALL valves to open. I learned that after a homeowner removed the batteries instead of turning off the water supply.
To turn on Manually Press the TOP BUTTON, until the ARROW on the screen says: On/Off . Then, give it a few seconds to display & you’ll hear a CLICK. Then, you’ll see a little HOSE icon at the top of the screen. If your water’s turned on at the faucet, it should start MANUAL WATERING. You #TurnOff, the same button where it says OFF/ON in the menu screen by Pressing that TOP BUTTON (the one with curved arrows up & down). It’s really NOT CLEAR, but you gotta give it a few seconds to display anything on the screen. I’ve had 3 Melnors & while I like them, they do hold up year after year, STILL I’m never sure about various Timer settings. I just go outside at the various times to see if the 💦 Starts & Stops. It does so at least something must be set right?! GOOD LUCK 🍀

Zones are different ports. You can (or could) get 2 or 4 zone versions of this.
