Leaky Plumbing Repair: Old Cast Iron to New ABS Pipes!

In this video I walk through how I discovered a leak in the wall which was caused by a broken ABS to cast iron connection. Then, I walk through how I removed the old pipes and installed new ones.

Needs a p trap, instead of the short 90. The last plumber forgot it too but least he used a long sweep 90. I know it’s just a washing machine draining but anytime you go from vertical to horizontal you should use a long sweep 90.

I had a plumber come by and funny enough there is an underground p trap, very odd, so technically it’s to code. Thanks for pointing it out!

You're missing a trap there. The standpipe also isn't tall enough to comply with code. The whole thing should be 2" pipe.
