Aahhh...finally the esserbunny brings the L1Z1- eggs :))) by the way we in rainy Marburg dont say "Lizix", we spell out the name L -1- Z- 1- X :) Happy eastern to everybody here
Ordnung muss sein! But to be honest, I couldn't be a*sed to spell it out every.single.time I had to say that name :) Happy Easter to you too, Michael, and everyone else!
Getting ready to play my first game of TI this weekend and I'll be playing L1Z1X, thanks for the content! We won't be playing with PoK to keep things simpler.
@@essersgamingcave Got second place :) Probably played a bit too passively as L1Z1X, had all my dreadnaughts and flagship out but was mostly being friendly, Barony player completed a bunch of objectives in the final two turns and leapt from 6 VPs to Winning
Hi Morten. What will you do with the Diplomacy card if Warfare is played before Tech? Will you risk to not be able to follow Tech if you spent your home system on following Warfare. Or will you pass following warfare and follow Tech instead and then use Diplomacy to ready your home system for a normal production at home with your last tactical action? And what will you do on your 3rd action if neither Warfare or Technology are played during their first two tactical actions?
Hi Thomas, As a general rule, I always prioritize producing more units over researching technology if I have to choose between the two. So if warfare is played first, I would produce units and hope Tech is not played right after. But if both warfare and technology are played right after each other and I can't diplo the home system in between, then I wouldn't research a tech, and then I would activate the home system as my last action to produce even more units and then move them out in the next game round. And possibly consider taking the technology card myself during the strategy phase and double-tech in that round.
It seems like you have gotten the more quiet slice. But tbh I have never tried this map, and have no idea of how your two immediate neighbours are going to interact with either you or going for MR instead. But resources and influence looks ok for you :) I hope you'll have a great game and please let me know if the map is fun to play!
@@essersgamingcavethe map is really fun to play! We did it yesterday. My slice was good and my neighbors were mahact and naaz. Naaz ended up winning and i was second because i misplayed the second round i guess. Problem was that i was the last one to pick between imperial and politics round 1😂 so i took politics so that i could do diplo round 2. But i dont know if tech wouldve been better to tech twice going to round 3. I was all in all happy with my game as i also got easy secret objectives. The stage 2s were unfortunately bad e.g pay 6 tactic/strategy tokens. Oh and we played with 12 VP instead of 10/14. In the past we tried 14 but that was really a long day in the end. We feel that 10 is too less so we decided on the sweet spot. I highly recommend magis map tho. Thank you for your guides!
Tech player can mess R1 if he stalls Tech. Hopefully he can be bribed. For my next game I have adjacent 2/2 system and 1/2&0/4 system. Wanted to play Xxxcha or L1Z1X, decided L1 for more active play. I will pick 5th so I assume Politics, Diplo or Trade will be options. Why Trade is bad? It will give you eventually 10 TGs if everyone agrees on X-1
Yeah L1 is pretty dependent on other players to play their strategy cards in the right order, but at least they have the starting units for a decent start anyway. If you can get ~10 TG by picking Trade R1, then take it by all means. L1 has pretty bad movement, R1, so any trade partners need to come to us to trade, and with only 2 commodities, I would have a hard time getting anybody in my regular play group to do that. But I guess we are also less generous when it comes to trading, compared to what I experienced recently during the TI4 Danish Open tournament :)
Love the L1Z1X and I love sending my group your guides. You’re awesome
I'm so happy to hear that. Thank you!

That was also a whole lot of points in just two rounds! Thanks for the update, and congrats on the 2nd place :)

@@essersgamingcave I meant that you can get 10 TG total, but not everything at once. Most likely R2 agenda phase last debts will be paid.
Ahh Yes, good point :)
