Quick question. What happens if Vuil Wraith destroys (and takes) your flagship? Assuming they have no reason to give it back, and you can’t quite get a fleet big enough to take/destroy a space dock? The faction strategy really heavily depends on this flagship.

I have a few choices on what to play next game. Might play the plants. Seems like a toned down saar.
Sarween Tools doesn’t work with Chaos Mapping as it is Produce not a Production action. Diplomacy Turn 1 could get you influence for Rex Round 1 if you move 3 using Gravity Drive and agent ability
I believe Cruiser II is a viable option for xxcha as well, with no blue tech and movement 1 ships across the board you want some fast options for taking objectives. I would prefer it to PDS 2

Nice video again :) I know the pain the to make a (music-) video from the scratch ...audio interface- things ,manage the light-and sound- stuff, use a movie maker free- download-program and of course practice the guitar and make 5 million takes for one short clip... just to get only a few hundred likes :) But we do, that we have to do. its that simple :) just keep on going with your passion

I recognize that map from the SCPT tournament season. I won my prelims game with Barony in the Devil went down to Velnor. I prefer not to go down green as Yin until after the commander is unlocked. Instead i go down yellow tech to have integrated economy available in the midgame. That way you can build infantry and fighters on the move and also with your hero. Because you are producing units this then triggers Yin Spinner. You have a good plastic advantage early game and ideally this leads you to taking Rex from someone. Because this is mecatol rex and your opponent either defends or doesn't have enough ships to retreat you then get to unlock your commander with indoctrination. This then lets you get carrier 2 in the midgame. It is also through trying to take Mekatol Rex that impulse core has a use. When you are fighting someone over mekatol rex it's usually carriers and dreads and not all factions get a destroyer to bring for this fight, but you do. And by using impulse core you assign one hit and because it was destroyed you get to trigger your agent early giving you 2 more fighters to soak damage for the carrier and also guaranteeing a hit. If that hit goes on a dread then that's pretty good for a destroyer. (but unless i have the faction tech secret I do often research Transit Diodes instead). When you are on Mecatol Rex, Once you produce infantry you can always reinforce Rex and also park your flagship here to deny it to ambitious players that want to score bonus points. The 6 influence it gives will give you a token advantage, and you can then afford to spend 2 or 3 to indoctrinate on the regular. In all the games I've won as Yin, I managed to pull this strategy off and keep Mecatol Rex. Sometimes even taking imperial to score the game's final points.
That's an interesting strategy! I'll try that out the next time I play Yin. But if you are parking Van Hauge over MR don't you then risk a coordinated an attack from i.e. 2 different players? But of course plenty of infantry + abilities can help you keep it :)

It's a pretty good tech for factions that don't have abilities to produce/reinforce their front lines. But also only good in games where you plan on conquest.
I once used DET to retreat into Mallice through a Gamma Wormhole into a locked Mallice, which unlocked it. Sadly someone took it before I could land on the planet on my next action.

I was actually considering the yellow faction tech because we have the law out that allows everyone to get war suns easily but they don't have sustain. Being able to sacrifice a destroyer to take out a war sun before it attacks seems great. Unfortunately, we then got the 2 techs in 4 colors objective so my idea went out the window!
That law changes the game, and being able to kamikaze a destroyer into one would be an awesome moment to remember. A shame it didn't happen :)
As someone who is relatively new to TI4, I love the content on this channel. Your Nomad, Sol, and Argent videos really helped me (as they were the first 3 factions I played with).

Very nice guide as always ! While I agree that blue tech, is normally the way to go for most factions, the yin commander allows to get deep tech without investing in the tech tree. You have a good chance to get cruiser 2, maybe fighter 2 or later in the game even light wave deflectors. This allows for interesting scenarios. So I would make a case for yellow tech. Yin can split thin quite well and, using predictive intelligence, you can get extra command tokens turn 1 or 2, which I deem quite strong. Transite diodes allow to reinforce planets far outside of your slice, synergizing nicely with a low fleet count and allowing you to be even more cheeky. Integrated economy makes you so so incredible sticky, and can gain you so much resource value, if you get it early on, i think it is one of the strongest techs for this faction. Combined with your faction ability any planet stolen by yin, that has production, is incredible hard to retake. Let's say your opponent guards a 2 prod planet with just an inf, that planet is yours without a fight and you can end you turn with 5 inf, 1 mech and the possibility to put 4 more inf in for the likely cost of a ship and 3 influence. If you manage to gain a green tech planet with this you can even later get yin spinner, giving you even 2 more inf each time you take a planet with production. Combining these two techs with the hero is also just awesome.
Very good points! I haven't tried the no-ships approach with Yin yet, but this strategy seems like a way to play them like that :)

I may be playing this wrong, but with the leadership example, why did you sacrifice a command token into the supernova? Per the rules, players that have passed may resolve the secondary abilities of other players' strategy cards. I think you showed this later in the vid with the technology card.
I don't remember the specifics of that Leadership example. But you are absolutely right: you can resolve 2nd's even if you have passed :)
I could see it being more useful in a 14 point game.
Alot of techs are better in the higher point games.
Hey could i ask for more information about celduari trade federation? I am playing them first time next friday and i am bit nervous, as ussualy i played emirates of hakan, and celduari dont seem to have any better offensive main ships which i would really like to have.

@essersgamingcave as someone who isn't really good with the political side of the game and usually taken advantage of politically its fun to throw that out the window and make the demands that people usually buckle to or they sit and do nothing as the early wasun goes into their slice.
15:47 Normal player: "I won't tolerate you building a dimensional tear that near my home systems!" Cabal player: *_"I sheeezzzaaall EEEEEAAAAAT YOOOOOOOOUUUUU"_* Normal player: "Understandable. Have a nice day" All jokes aside, I think putting down a dimensional tear that close to another player's slice is perfectly fine, _if_ you are ready to pick a fight with that player. That dimensional tear is basically announcing with giant loudspeakers that you intend to attack your neighbor, or at least that is the way your neighbor absolutely needs to interpret it. As a result, that player will be throwing everything and the kitchen sink at that tear to shut it down, which you may be perfectly fine with or even counting on. You are the Cabal after all; you _want_ to fight, in order to eat your neighbor's stuff. And if they, for whatever reason, _don't_ try to shut the tear down, you've now got an open highway into your neighbor's home system.
I hate having Cabal as my neighbour! But you probably already guessed that! :D and I absolutely agree with your viewpoint
I like the way you do your story telling! Going along with the abilities and showing immediately which tech can be relevant. I've just discovered you, but i think I'm going to stay here al day haha

One thing I would consider mentioning for newer players. In Examples 1&3, you took your Inner Ring planet with your last action. I would likely also use my second agent to grab an Infantry and the Mech from the 3 Planet system to put on your Inner Ring planet. The 3 Planet system is out of the way and resources there aren't giving you much value. But in examples 1&3, you can use your Flagship+Gravity Drive to pick up those Ground Forces on the way to either Mecatol Rex or your neighbors Inner Ring system in Round 2.
