- A quick look at some new brushes

I bought my first set of these a while back. They are great brushes. I mostly use the number 1 brush. After a year and a half it's starting to lose it's tip. Still good enough to paint with. I expect it to last another several months before I replace it.
Wow, that's a long time
Great vid mate. Ordered a size 1 today to check it out. Pretty much the size of brush I use 90% of the time.
Nice, they do look really nice
Awesome man i need to get some new brush sets and heard good things about these
love series 7 and from my home town art supplys in horwich bolton
Great stuff, am looking forward to trying them out
They look awesome mate, I might get some of these one day, I am still using the old cheap Tamiya brushes lol
No way! You're a skilled artist and am sure you could paint with spoon if you had to! I need all the help I can get!
What you need to do is a video demonstrating how the sable brushes perform differently from ordinary ones. I can see a lot of videos showing me how much care is taken in making them, but very little demonstrating the difference in effect on the final work.
Sounds like a good idea for a video
I want some of these brushes they are so nice
They look and feel really nice
Was looking for information about how to use sable brushes and care for them.
The video is pleasant but doesn’t tell me anything I didn’t know already, which wasn’t much in the first place. It did tell me about delivery times in England. I live in Tokyo.
You will not be disappointed mate :D
They are quality brushes to be fair, thanks for the link up!
42? 42 for 5x series 7? a single size 1 series 7 in USA is 32$ it self... damn
I got my second Winsor & Newton series 7 a couple days ago, and it came faulty, just like my first one. Completely useless for my needs (comics inking). Quality control is lousy with the W&N brushes these days. I also have heard a lot of professional artists complaining about that. Pretty unacceptable for the price. I'll stick to Raphael brushes from now on.
That's a shame. All the ones I have used have been a real treat. I've heard good things about Rosemary and co too
You took the leap then! let us know how it goes! :)
Will do!! Cheers
I just assumed you were already using them. I switched to them a month ago and will never go back. They are easily worth the extra. May I suggest you invest in some brush soap from 'the masters'. Important to look after your investment.
Oh yes, I feel I have grown up now into 'proper' brushes but have been using the soap for a while, I can't believe the difference it makes coupled with these fancy new brushes, I should be flying with my painting skills!! Cheers.
Hehe. Nice to hear. I'm looking forward to seeing your newly painted miniatures. Those brushes now mean I actually look forward to painting something and lets be honest that's a hard task for me lol.
Haha, would love to see your collection of built and painted, built, not painted and waiting to be built!!
Thanks. Yeah I'm releasing a video September/October time. I've got a few weeks off week over the summer so will be able to catch up. Now all I need is GW & FW to stop releasing stuff.
Using W&N for miniature painting is like driving a Ferrari to work everyday. They're simply too soft and expensive for miniature painting.
Horses for courses I suppose, I've had some fantastic cheaper brushes and some terrible expensive brushes
That's just stupid. Paintbrushes, no matter how expensive a brush is is used...wait for it...for brush painting. I have 2 W&N brushes, I've had for 20+ years, still hold their point. So why would I use something else? Yes, I use cheaper brushes for overall coverages, washes and such, but the W&N for detail. Fantastic stuff, and you can use them for anything.
