Bugeye, blobeye and hawkeye utilize the same chassis. Sti models are GDB and Wrx models are GDA with the wagons being GGA Wrx and GGB for Sti. So no need to do seperate videos for each. But you can do a video for sizes and offsets to clear Sti Brembo brakes vs the standard Wrx brakes. Didn't see you mention that at all in this video unless its for USDM models only then you need to mention that as newbies who have just purchased a JDM Bugeye Sti in another country may use your specs to purchase online just to be disappointed when they turn up
@@moezori2265 03' Bugeye wrx and been Daily Driving it for a year and half now and I have 168k miles. Make sure you do the timing belt/waterpump service and double check for rust holes anywhere on the frame and suspension. Check coolant and vacuum hoses and the oil feed line to the turbo. Also crawl under the front to check the valve cover gaskets (head gaskets aren't an issue on the early turbo cars unless they're pushing over 18psi of boost on stock block). Try to get one with little to no modification if you can, these cars are reliable, but get a bad reputation cause people abuse them. Also make sure to test drive it, the 5 speed transmissions in the Bugeyes are delicate and don't take kindly to "banging through the gears"
@@Grooove_e damn dude thanks for the reply. That's solid ass info. I bought a 2011 wrx a month ago because it's so hard to find a clean hawk blob or bugeyes. But my wrx is stage 2 runs on 93 but im going to get a safe tune for 91 since 93 is hard to find in my area.
Have a 2003 bugeye wrx with the official prodrive rally springs on it. I run 235/45-17 on it currently with the 2006 WRX brake conversion. I am looking at an offering for some MOMO Heritage 6 wheels 17x8 +35 offset and am wondering if there would be any fitment concerns. Anyone have any experience here?
Has anyone put 19’ on a Bugeye Wagon? On Stock Suspension Any issues? I’m thinking of putting 57dr 19x8.5 +45 on DWS 245/35 19 Reason why i want 19’s over 18’s is i have the tires from a Work Kiwami wheels set
Question, was thinking of picking up a 2002 wrx for 20k with only 47k miles it’s super clean with original paint that’s clean, as well as little mods but has original parts, no accidents with 2 owners, thinking of using as a daily
Ok. So. Ahmm. What? Lol. I got a 04 blob eye. I think they are compatible? One thing I was wondering was the different kinds of tire stretch and performance with the different width rims ?

I got some 2014 wrx wheels for my bugeye and the offset is +53. Rim is 17x8. Did i mess up here? The issue i see is the rear tires seem to be so close to the rear struts. I heard of people using these wheels on their bugeyes but im not sure how they are pulling it off. I think i might be able to fit with a smaller tire like a 225 40 17 or a 215. Just not sure now. Im losing hope on installing these nice looking wheels on my bugeye sedan. Any advise would be appreciated thanks.

you can fit 18x10 with conservative negative offset and even 10.5 with positive offset and camber and fender pull

For 20k just get an sti
Or get a cheaper wrx and put that money towards reliability and starter mods thatll help it last longer
Dude 20k is wayy too much for a bugeye!! I got mine for 10 and has 69k miles
XXR 527 🤙🏽
What headlights/covers are those on the first blue one @ 1:30??? Is it just a wrap? Or like a shroud ?? Beautiful😍🤤

Not really, they usually have adapters you can buy

Am just curious about what it takes to convert 5x100 to 5x114
Spacers 🤔 5x100 to 5x114 spacers
Hey bro I bought some that are 19-9.5 5x100 do you think those would fit! Or what can I do for they can fit?!
Yeah man you should be good! You might need to roll your fenders if it's tight!
Would a 17x9 +42 with a 255/40r17 rt660 fit stock??? 2003 wrx
definitely
The white wagon had a wide body put on, soo that one’s not accurate ppl
