As an STI owner, I would personally recommend getting either a Killer B Oil Pickup and Baffle or an IAG Oil Pickup and Baffle kit as a reliability mod for this car because the EJ series engines are known to have bad oil pickups from the factory, especially knowing you guys are going to track the car. Just a heads up, but nice choice for the car, I know you guys are gonna kill it with the build 👍🏽

I had a 2008 STi for 9 years. I put almost everything you guys got in that list besides the tires and the widened fenders on the car. I did that over the course of 9 years and you guys did it in all in one shot. I miss my Subaru. Was hit by a drunk driver and was taken away from me. I never got another one. But I really enjoyed watching this and cannot wait for future car videos of this.

Sorry for your loss, that sucks big time. ESP after so much work. I think is every car guys dream to just slap everything on at once but not usually very realistic and the time over years put into the car does give you more of an appreciation. EJ25 is the name of the motor collectively. Specifically the EJ257 is the STi exclusive 2.5L motor. The EJ255 was another sought after block for it came in the Legacy GT and WRX and the differences were pistons internally and minor bolt on changes.

They’re such badass cars and that LS1 can take some abuse and can make TREMENDOUS amounts of healthy power and torque on a budget. Functional Ram air, T56 6spd transmission, 325hp/345ft lbs, 13.5 1/4 mile @107 stock, and weighing roughly 3400ish lbs. made them a menace back in the day.

I have a 2016 STI. I just added radiator, AOS, cylinder 4 cooler, pitch mount, pitch brace with stainless steel clutch hose. When I finished installing the stainless steel clutch hose, I noticed the clutch pedal stuck on the floor (no one pressed it). I figured it would be bubbles but after bleeding the clutch slave, clutch pedal still would not go back to normal. I noticed there were a small leak on the clutch master so I replaced it and bled the clutch slave again until no more bubbles yet the clutch pedal still would not go back up by itself. I decided to replace the clutch slave and bled it again until no more bubbles. Still the same, the clutch would not go back up by itself.
Oh and on top of that the clutch would not go in any gear when the car is on. I was able to put it in any gear when its off. So I tried to put it in 1st gear and turn on the car, now the car wont turn on, the clutch wont go in neutral and the clutch pedal still sticks to the floor. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

Build looking good so far. I think a set of custom wheels like some Work Emotion CR Kiwami's or Work VS-SS would look good on the build.

Nice Hawkeye pick up; the 07’s have slightly taller gear ratio so that’s pretty cool. You guys are really making me miss my 06 Hawkeye…are you guys going to add a downpipe? Better sound and decent power gains from that/tune. Love it!

Stock headers, downpipe, $1300 titanium catback...
Lets add an intake and tune absolutely nothing.... Also 400miles isnt even a properly broken in engine, I really hope this doesn't end up like donut media. This chassis deserves respect, not a clown show.

I had a obsidian black pearl 2007 sti back in the day. Had a full turbo back catless exhaust, cobb intake and accessport, bc racing br's, fifteen52 tarmacs and bride bucket seats. It was such a fun daily. Kind of want one again now after watching this haha
But man I hate when painters paint parts of the lower grille on bumpers that are supposed to be unpainted. They did some masking on the aftermarket wing and hood, they could have done it to the bumper too. Also definitely should have done a downpipe while doing the exhaust.
