We know you guys have been waiting on this video for a long time. This little Subie has appeared on our channel for a while now, and it’s time we can present a true “owner’s review” on the car.
This Sedona Red 2002 ‘Bug Eye’ is undeniably a neat car. Boasting turbocharged AWD power and a comfortable interior, there’s not much to complain about.
Despite the fact that the machine was built 20 years ago, the car still turns heads and carved corners like nobody’s business. Powered by a EJ20 Flat-Four engine and 5-speed manual transmission, it’s safe to say that the 2002 Subaru WRX still rocks.

No ma’am correction a boxer engine is because the pistons go sideways so kinda looks like it’s punching 🤛 🤜 thus the boxer engine.
The direction the pistons crank also helps with the handling while taking corners!
Less stress on crank as the pistons punch horizontally not vertically

20/27 MPG is right what I get with my '02 WRX wagon. Almost completely stock. Really, the only performance upgrade has been the up-pipe cat delete. But I do need to take it easy to hit that 27, with nothing on the roof rack.

BOXER - Because pistons are on a flat plane and fire alternately on each side, like a boxer boxing, hence 'boxer' :)

My only gripe with the bug eye is that they never offered a Two-door version of the WRX model.

ive definitely seen a lot more wagons than i have sedans personally. especially around my area

boxer doesnt come cuz the engine is square... LMAO its... the pistons and rods... look like boxers.. throwing fists. bugeyes also only came with a ej205.. or a JDM 207. whats a 14? ej15f4? a what? lol that doesnt even exist for a motor.. bu the gallo 24... shes a beast.
