It seems to happen every time you've heard voices on a podcast for hours upon hours. When you finally get real faces along with the voices it is always so jarring as no-one looks as you think they should based on the potent mixture of their voice and your imagination. I think there's also some conditioning at a more abstract level in that you are so used to not having a visual element when hearing those voices that the introduction of any visual at all also feels strange?
I use Claude constantly for work - it just understands what I'm doing so much better - huge problem: hitting usage limits. Easy revenue win for Claude: let me pay $20 to keep going now, don't force me to wait two hours.
Is it just me or did you miss the obvious question about quantum computing-which seems to me to be this: what are the implications of the advances in Quantum computing in relation to rapidly developing AI? Wihat happens when God-like intelligence meets God-like computing?

I feel like ChatGPT voice mode is impressive technically (I mean, it seems ridiculous to criticize it at all considering the lightning pace of development of this technology) but actually not impressive at all from a product standpoint. The only cue it uses to determine that I'm done talking is length of the pause, which is a terrible one, and if it interrupts me, it doesn't recognize that, even though it's underlying text model should be able to figure out that it cut me off and allow me to continue. If Claude managed a normal human conversational style, that would be huge.

Even our machine learning algorithms that have become ubiquitous across the internet have the major learning goal of giving users content that affirms their perspective and engages attention rather than maximizing truth or new perspectives.
I'm not sure why the hosts undersold Claude's capabilities. It's still the best model for general purpose problem solving and coding. ChatGPT's o1 is better on specialized reasoning tasks, but I still prefer Claude for most general purpose work tasks.

You can use the developer console /workbench. Just sign up for an API account and put 20 bucks on. It lasts a long time if you're using 3.5 Sonnet.
