As it's been said, Su-metal has writing credits on this one for the first time. I consider this very important since she said that being a singer/songwriter was (in her own words) a dream an a final goal in life. It looks like this is the way and I'm so happy for her.

BM is back! This is their 1st single out of five until album release next year and is totally a banger and my jam, plus SuMetal got the lyrics credits on this, everyone is proud and happy she reached one of her dreams. She rocks!❤️
"Divine Attack - Shingeki" got some drum&bass combined with the heavy riffs of metal sound and belongs to the Cavalry snippets set they were releasing on The Other One digital gallery, also "The Other One" is the name of their next concept album. Love the "Pendulum" vibes in that DnB section, but also got some reminiscence to Kingslayer, their latest collab with BMTH. Btw I think, and this is a common guess among fans, the lyrics got kinda a tribute or some inspiration from Attack On Titan (Shingeki No Kyojin) anime series, the more i hear the lyrics the more i'm convinced, but we all know this is part of a concept album with apparently different worlds on each one of their songs and everything, including the story, will be revealed at their own time. So far we can say that this song carry the spirit of Road Of Resistance and some others songs with uplifting lyrics but is a battlecry, a call to arms and fight for your future.

'Divine Attack - Shingeki' is the first of five new singles from the upcoming 10 track concept album 'THE OTHER ONE'.
The album is due out March 24th, 2023.
Each of the 10 songs will explore a different alternate world in the overall "Metalverse".
Music and arrangement are by MEGMETAL (Wada Megumi) and Hayato Yamamoto.
MEGMETAL was heavily involved in the 'Metal Galaxy' album.
Lyrics for this song are by Su-metal, a promising young songwriter from Hiroshima. : )
BABYMETAL have a couple of big headlining concerts coming up on January 28th and 29th, 2023 in Japan.
They will also be special guests on Sabaton's 'The Tour To End All Tours' for 24 shows in Europe from April 14th to May 20th, 2023.

I think one of the things that I'm loving so much from this, that I just realized is how their sound is definitely maturing along with them, but they're doing it without it feeling like they're trying to escape their earlier work, which can happen with a lot of artists that blow up when they're young.

I can’t agree more with you, the typical (if that exists lol) Babymetal mix of heavy guitars, drums, and bass with Su’s incredible matured voice and a super catchy chorus is all you need to make you happy 😊. Additionally, this is the first time Su got credited with writing the lyrics making her teenage dream of becoming a singer/songwriter come true. 🤘🦊🔥
Nice reaction. A great first release from the new album. It does its' job. Got me excited about what may come next. Su has shared credit writing for this song. And it seems like she wanted to do a follow up to Road of Resistance. While Road felt like an invitation to join them on the road, they travel in the metal worlds. This song feels like she's asking the audience to follow their dreams. Attending a Babymetal concert would get me pumped up to do so. This time Babymetal will travel with audience as they take their own roads. All while playing Babymetal on their car radios, cell phone pods, or anything their listening to them on. Babymetal will always be on your side. And that's just the lyrics. The music hits you hard and fast. Then settles into Su's clear calm mature voice. Then as the music builds her voice builds with agitation right along with it. Then the chorus kicks in and Su hits us with her powerful voice. Just glorious. The drums really go hard in this song. Then finally, Moa joins in. Aaaaahhh. Moa sounds more like Su all the time. Fantastic. Divine Attack feels like a great example of what the mature kawaii metal of Babymetal sounds like. Their next single release comes soon. I can't wait to see them actually performing these new songs.

Welcome back & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 The third era (or fourth?) of BABYMETAL has just begun. I reconfirmed the purity of Su's voice even after some maturity that you noticed. Moa's velvety but powerful voice in the back sounds great, too. The first thing came up in my brain was Dante's "The Divine Comedy". A figure with wings reminded me of Beatrice in purgatory. The sacred image is overlapping with Su and Moa, but we all know that is just one of their various faces that we are going to witness from now on. Let's not be judgmental in haste. Hail to the newly born lyricist Su!! 😍
Greetings Sir. I asked another commenter, but thought I’d toss the question to you as a non westerner. Are you familiar with the Roman Goddess of Victory? Perhaps the Greek God Nike? I don’t have a definitive answer yet, but I asked it of one of the worlds greatest curators and hopefully an opinion is coming. It’s a family thing amongst the highest rated museums in the world. It bothers me to end that I can’t figure out the imagery, but perhaps that’s for the best. In the eye of the beholder. 😅
@@michelm.6033 I believe you are talking about "Athena" or "Samotrace Nike" a.k.a "Winged Victory of Samothrace". Both in Greek legend. Nike is considered as an attendant to Athena or one of incarnations of Athena. Nike is called "Victoria" in Roman legend. Athena is deemed as the same goddess as "Minerva" in Roman, but Minerva has less militant personality than Athena, I guess.

To me this sounds like someone did the vocals and then handed them over to the band who did the music, but they absolutely did not have the same vision. The vocals are great, but the music is really mediocre, generic. It doesn't really do much to support the vocals nor add much to the song. If you'd give the vocal track to 10 different musicians to remix, you would probably get 9 versions that are better than this.
And you sound like a wannabe music expert to me.
