Hey there! You know when you film a whole video and only when you go to edit it you realise your finger was bleeding? A bit annoying, but also a bit hilarious 😂 Hope it's not too distracting! Clearly Jimmy Carr was way too entertaining for me to notice!

Art should inspire thought. There are many ways of doing this, but disturbing comfort definitely is one.
I wouldn't say it isn't art if it isn't disturbing, but if you try to cancel everything that is disturbing, you definitely cancel art.

What so many fail to understand is the difference between punching up and down in comedy. The detail is in understanding the difference between the subject of a joke and the object.

@michaelhawkins7389 I was never that keen on Frankie Boyle. I always thought he was just being controversial for the sake of it. What he said about poor Rebecca Adlington was just unforgivable. She can't help the way she looks bless her. He also made a few jibes at Gabby Logan too in one of Mock The Week episodes comparing her to a "transvestite" which was just unnecessary.

Jimmy's a real one-off envelope pusher. Brilliant with hecklers too. I think he actually appeared on the US 'Tonight' show early in his career- can't recall Jay Leno or that other guy Dave something. Not with material this risqué though, and ergo, not as funny. He was great value on the panel show 'Quire Interesting' (QI), bouncing off Stephen Fry. You've gotta love how he fearlessly just 'goes there', but very self-aware.. Thanks for sharing, Megan.

Carr is a comedian that I admire for his ability to formulate a "set-up / punch" perfectly. It's just that I'm not a fan of the comedy sub-genre. I came up on Carlin, Pryor, Tomlin, and Whoopi. Robin was brilliant at the minimal prep with maximum improv, but he ended his sets with carefully built pieces designed to wring maximum emotional resonance from you when he'd brought you to his most vulnerable with his humour. Carr is a craftsman, just in an area that doesn't speak to me.

I had a fart about in the comments and noticed someone doesn't seem to understand humour let alone dark humour. An American apparently no surprises there. Just a heads up, someone being offended by a joke doesn't mean it's not a joke and they make it worse for themselves because the person teling the joke doesn't have to give a fuck. Not a joke about sa but if i did joke about it they wouldn't just be hurt by it they'd be fucking crying about it. Apparently cry about it is an Americans way of saying fuck off if you don't agree or share the same opinion which seems contradictory to me. I was tempted to joke about both things they weren't happy about but i thought i better not, given the 911 situation they mentioned they wouldn't want to be blown up which is ironically yank slang for popularity. i'm saying people feeling sorry for them over some fucking jokes and either commenting or liking there comment they seem miserable enough as it is. I did hold back on what i was goin to say. Welcome to london

I think the Twin Towers joke was in poor taste - too easy a target.
