great videos! Train accidents can be quite challeging for emergency services. Some years ago I headed to a train accident and so far it was the only emergency where I saw ALL kinds of emergency services on scene
I love that AmericanLaFrance it's nice to see them still here. San Ramon Valley Fire still has 3 AmericanLaFranceTillers existing to this day. 1 in full service, 1 as reserve.
super cool i didn't know ventura county had an emergency medical service (i loved their bus ❤) and there are so many interesting vehicles it makes the video cooler i hope the people from this train accident are ok
lucky that nobody was atleast seriously injured, but you would think that yknow, if you are seeing Emergency Vehicles and hearing their sirens en masse you wouldnt pull back out into the street?
@@MrTomengle It says police and if it have to control traffic then they can do it with red blue why amber? That vehicle more looks like a police utility vehicle that civilian employees use
Because it’s for traffic control and accidents. It’s. Or driven by a sworn officer. Doesn’t need red and blue because they don’t actually roll code to anything except when they are on scene. Hundreds of departments have units marked in their markings with amber lighting. Some even have brand new vehicles for community service officers of volunteers. And a lot of them don’t want to use smaller vehicles because they don’t have the room. In some agencies those community service officers actually transport suspects from a scene to the jail so the arresting officer is not tied up doing it allowing them do go back on patrol. Its also cheaper to by police vehicles that it is to buy civilian versions. Like a Police Package Tahoe PPV maybe 35k depending on the state contract pricing, a civilian Tahoe is 60k. A Police Package F150 is 35-40k where a civilian model may start out at 60-70k and you get less options since it’s a base model and the police versions are not. A department can buy a Police Interceptor Utility for 34K while a Toyota Corolla is 40k and not made to idle for hours or have the room needed. They don’t want or need red and blues on it since the ones using them are never responding in an emergent fashion.
We had them back in the 70s. Lots of agencies and people to coordinate with, including victim's family. Lots of company resources pulled from regular duty. Triage and R&R areas. Helicopter LZs. That's the Supermedic's responsibility. If the event is large enough, they'll have separate supermedics for Safety,Triage, Press Relations, Resource Management (vehicles and personnel), etc. In fire dept based ambulance services they are battalion chiefs, district chiefs, EMS chiefs, et al. They all have similar responsibilities whether they are fire dept based or a private ambulance company.
It’s just a paramedic supervisor. They respond to major scenes where they may need extra hands and a faster response to get there. They are not in a heavy ambulance.
Maybe I am looking at this all wrong, but, it seems like you all are more interested in the thrill of getting there than helping once you DO get there. That is the way this video makes it look.... If I am wrong, I apologies deeply from my heart. There is no one I love and respect more than a first responder !
Videos like this want to show the units used by the different agencies, especially the rarely seen ones. It's not about the incidents. For the "not helping" aspect (besides his age): These are mostly second row responders that normally arrive after the local first due personnel of FD, EMS and Police. You can be sure there were lots of better trained and equipped helpers on scene by then.
Moorpark is small town. They have two fire stations within 5 minutes. Of this location. They're pretty well equipped and run drills very often. In an event like this. It's better to just stay put and be a good witness than get involved. Because if you don't have the proper training AND equipment you could end up being another casualty. Plus the fact that there's not much a single person can do for a train derailment. You have make sure it's safe before you end up getting hurt. Cause than it just adds to the situation. It was also a pretty minor incident. All things considered. No deaths or serious injuries. No worse than a car accident it just happened to be a lot of people and an entire train. (Sorry. I just have a lot of free time to learn about random things. This just happens to be a subject I'm well versed on. Mass casualties, anything about trains, and anything about first responders 😅) here to simply to educate not push negativity 🙏
great videos!

That must be quite a rare shot then I suppose

Good to see the Sheriff didn’t forget to have the keg trailer dispatched to the base camp…
Exactly what I was thinking. Looked like a BBQ under wraps.
Oh alright
How could anyone have a stomach for food when they are dealing with a lot of gory casualties. I didn't see a bunch of plain white vans
The grey trailer ? It’s a washroom
there were no casualties, and there was one transported to the hospital with minor injuries.@@ph11p3540
Born and raised in VC! So proud of my FFEMS people! Got my initial EMT certification in SV.
bro at the end is responding in style
What a cool collection of units - awesome footage!
Thank you!
great to see that everyone pulls over to the side for the emergency vehicles to get past
Does anyone know what siren this is, at 0:32 ? Very interesting
Thrilling watching a bunch of emergency vehicles.

no one was injured and thank you for the compliment!
Every county has EMS IDIOT
Good Capturing! Love that medical bus

Great catch!!
How bad wss that derailment? 😶
No steady burn red on the bus?
at least they had more then adequate EMS to arrive!!
Did cali get rid of steady burn? A lot of videos lately seems to be missing the steady burns
Where is the train derailment?
I had a stroke this Metrolink where a truck driver got stuck on the tracks the engineer didn't make it
Oh shoot hope your okay
Awesome catch!
Very cool catches!
Love the cops wearing 10-gallon hats!
Why that police pickup in last clip had amber lights?
Probably a traffic control unit.

Wow! Crazy response. Great catches
This is the accident where Amtrak 300 ‘s front got smushed
When Sheriff Mobile Command misses turn to Incident Command Post😂😂😂😂
Since when does an ambulance company supervisor rate red lights and sirens on a pickup truck?
He rates because he's the "Supervisor" with probably some extra ALS meds and in CA. usually a long-time Paramedic!
Same reason fire chiefs have them.

Amtrack has a police department? I thought they were just a rsndim railway passenger train thing
All American railroads have police, and because they can cover large areas of territory, they have pretty broad arrest powers!
Amtrak PD are federal police
@@rb810810 Yes they have Federal powers and jurisdiction when it comes to railways and the right-of-ways!

Those Whelen C series lights on that bus are terrible
What happened??!
Train VS Truck. Idk who won though.
