An extremely intense situation for all involved. Well covered Jay from early to late in the incident. Goes to show how things jump in scale as time moves on.
i was fortunate enough to get a video of AL96 responding to a County fire during the time that pretty much all LACo.FD MAL rigs were out of service for mechanical issues, that was my first time seeing it move haha. this rig now serves as both hazmat and air & light so maybe more to come haha, thanks for watching bro!
they had a really cool old tractor-trailer style unit that used to be HM91 but it retired. this rig now serves as both hazmat and air & light. thanks for watching bro!
@@Hannibal-019I’ve had this argument with my father who is a law enforcement officer, I’m not sure if they have ever been ‘illegal’ Fairly certain it’s just another tradition thing to just stick with your tradition wails and yelps, even rumblers used by both LE and Fire/EMS could be considered quite taboo in California. Especially when it comes to departments getting new equipment, it means they’ll typically get new siren systems, and the modern day siren manufacturers have all sorts of random tones to choose from, so it’s just easier to get a base package or something a little fancier that just has all three.
I still think west coast police departments are the best trained... But this is withering away as older cops retire out and police and court reform ruin it
Im pretty sure that all neighbor cities police departments like Gardena, Redondo, Palos Verdes, Inglewood, El Segundo, Hermosa and even Culver City show up, but also because LASD showed up massively there was not need to send other cities units.

what is that beeping siren on the first response for? very interesting, never heard anything like it before.
Yeah what is that
Probably a priority tone
im from torrance, its to get your attention only a few units have it
@@smokeycigarettelounge that makes sense, thanks for confirming!
Don’t listen to the other guys lol. It’s just a honk option within the unit, there’s a horn button you can press while lights and sirens are active
Crazy they didn't just block the rds off round the area
Never thought i’d see that light and air truck move, great video, absolutely love seeing those hawthorn units, stay safe!

Wow thats crazy. Great catches.
the explorer ST's look so aggressive I love it
Spectacular response and video.
They did a stunning job at doing this.
Good captures! Didn’t know Torrance had a hazmat unit. Love their truck. Those bomb squads look great, always good to see the 2020s. Great video

@ØhDark30_ please read the description
Not so much air now lol the compressor is broken on that rig so it’s more of just hazmat equipment now
What an incredible video!
thank you!
5:00 when did California emergency vehicles become authorized to use priority tones?
Glad i'm not the only one to realize that, I thought it was illegal.

@@ValleyFireVids oh ok
Amazing videos, my city pd uses same siren
Was also Hawthorne PD.
3:45 what sheriff units were those? Do they serve multiple cities? Ive never seen so many city seals on sheriff vehicles lol
those were Lomita units; they serve Lomita, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, and the surrounding unincorporated areas
Wow so whats the story? Why do they need so many units for one or two suspects?

I think is Air & Lighting 96, not HazMat 96...
it's utilized as both since the retirement of HM91. it was dispatched over the radio and requested as HM96 this day.
6:12 air horn jump scare
Awesome catches I subscribed
AMAZING FOOTAGE!!!!
Isn’t that an Air light unit? Or is that a new hazmat unit added to 96s I thought 96s had a rescue , engine, truck, air light unit Not a hazmat unit?
it serves as both AL96 and HM96 since the retirement of HM91. it was requested and dispatched as "HazMat 96" that day. thanks for watching!
