heyyyy lovelies, I am showing in this video the process of making our very own DIY Silicone Inlays in a more expensive Intricate mould that is the Finnabair Moth and Cog Mould. I will be sharing with you my experiences of using a more expensive intricate mould for this technique.
I am using Silicone Rubber by Let's Resin and the links are here for anyone wishing to purchase the Silicone.

Live chat not working but just wanted to say Hi and that you don't babble. You let other's know the facts. Love this mould, great work as always.
Heyyyy Pammi I'm so sorry it wasn't working for you xx someone else said this too .. I have no idea why 😢😢😢😢
@@ClairesCraftyCorner It's okay, sometimes these things happen. I was still able to watch your fantastic makes. I love butterflies and steampunk. Beaming smile. Thanks for showing.
I can't wait to see what you do with these 😍😍 If you see a butterfly flying faster than all the rest then it's a betterfly 🦋🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 brilliant
Absolutely love the butterflies
I also brush the silicone into those nook and crannies first and then pour it in.
I wasn't terribly keen on butterflies as decoration either, but then I got a papillon (butterfly) dog and butterflies seem to have crept in everywhere! ;)
Just a thought, silicone sticks to silicone as you figured out. I do hope folks follow your advice and use silicone release spray over the whole mold before pouring silicone in. I love that mold. It has some wonderful inlays. Thank you!!
Thank you so kindly Claire ❤️
I absolutely love this mould I need to play with mine lol the inlays turned out absolutely stunning ❤❤ I can't wait to see what you make with them 😍❤️❤️
The details 🤤 there are so many silicon baking molds that would make sweet inlays.
I just want to tell you what I do. I spray the silicone release in a cup and use a paint brush to wet the molds. It works for me
That sounds so ideal ... thank you so much Marion ❤️❤️😍
Wow absolutely beautiful results with that mould, thanks for taking the risk it paid off 😌x
Thank yoooo Kate 😍😍😍
Stunning! Even if I find insects creepy... I have searched high and low but no one in Sweden seem to sell silicone release spray. I just hope the brush on version they had at the craft store works.
Ohhh Mizz sorry you can't get hold of it 😢😢 people have told me they used the wax and vaselune so I'm sure the brush on version will work 😍😍
This worked great, Claire. Thanks for all your tips, and no, you don’t babble too much. 😁❤️
Thank yooo Diana ❤️❤️❤️
Wow Claire, that is one awesome mould and the inlays look great.
Thank you for this video! Every day you inspire me to do so much more! I love that you're 'real', it makes such a refreshing watching experience! Xxx
Thank you so much Michele ❤️❤️❤️
You definitely don't babble! Your inl as ys are awesome!
Claire you don't babble to much lol 😄 I love the way you explain things and like to get things out there 😄 The molds have turned out great.🤩
Hi Claire the inlays look amazing 👏 😍 great work as always, thanks for sharing ❤️ xx
Thanks Claire your videos are very informative and helpful. I love them.
Simply awesome
Adorable!! Not babble but very interesting ♥️
I loved this video claire, did worry it wasnt going to come out for a minute there, but its you, so of course it was coming out. Il buy the big butterfly/moths from you if you wont b using them. Saves wasting them. X
Hi Claire. Thank you for trying all of this out for us. 😊 these are beautiful. 😊😊
Thank yoooo Rob ❤️❤️
Love it!! you know you could use these on the let's resin table mold they sent you,I think it'd look awesome.
Ohhhhhh that sounds like an incredible idea 😍😍
These are so lovely!! I would love to see something as detailed as this made from jesmonite used as an imbed in a resin tray 😊😊
Hi, Wendy at Toonpish! 👋🏻
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!!!
Thank you for being brave enough to try this. Since it is silicone you could always use a Cricut squeegee, a pallet knife or a credit card. It'll peel right off.
I am absolutely in love with that mould!!! Omg it’s gorgeous!!! I will definitely be adding this to my collection!!! No idea what I’m going to do with it but I need to have it!! Lol. Love how these turned out despite your little struggles
Yayyyyyy thankyoooooo babe ❤️❤️❤️
Guys a thumbs up 👍♥️
Thank yooooo my lovely 😍😍😍
I love your videos. I also want to tell you Iron orchid molds work great wth the silicone,of course wth the silicone spray
I am responding to this late, but you might be able to rub the excess silicone off with a rubber pencil eraser.
😂😂 you are very messy 😂😂 but very nice xx
Very nice
I like your " babberley "... heheheheeee
Good evening!!!
Awesome video and overview. What kind of crafts would you make with these, or use them for?
I've discovered your channel a few months ago and that helps me a lot.
Do you think that, in order to protect the mold, we could use a silicone spray or is it a bad idea ? I'm still lost about that.....
And do you have any advice about cleaning inlays ? Mine has pigments and, apparently, uv resin on it that I can't clean....
Hi, beautiful work as always. Do you think food spray would work ?
I love your chatter! Claire I think it’s bc the it’s bc it’s matte. I test them on the backsides before going in 😬 Not a fan of Vaseline bc it’s petroleum based. I’d go follow Robert Tolone for all mold making
- he’s been making molds & doing resins for a 50 year career with Disney & 3m etc. he’s been doing 3D printing lately so scroll back a few months but seriously a wealth of information!! Thanks for sharing your journey.. love your arts!!
❤❤❤❤
I thought it was satisfying watching you take them out of the moulds😆 am I weird?
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I adore you and your channel ❤. I do have a question, My first play with silicone so I mixed it and poured it over a holographic window cling for a silicone inlay. But after 24 hours the top of the silicone was cured and not cured under where the silicone was touching the cling???? PLEASE HELP! What did I do wrong 😔
What kind of silicone?
I don't understand why people use release spray before pouring. Use it to release?!?
Could you use these as stamps do you think? Or maybe a less flexible silicone?
Heyyyyy Jodi ... you absolutely could if they were super flat on one level... but not 100% sure on these as they are different levels if that makes sense x
@@ClairesCraftyCorner makes total sense! Just wondered on how well they would pick up ink. Wasn't thinking about how it would sort of roll. Thanks! Love your channel and your vivacious personality even though I rarely comment!
Me again. Was that mica powder you put in the silicone?
Heyyyy Diana the brand is The Colour Cottage .. but any Mica Powder will do xx ❤️❤️❤️
@@ClairesCraftyCorner Ta.
I can't comment in the live chat today.. aarrgghhhh! Xxx
Ohhhhh no I'm so sorry 😢😢 no idea why it wasn't working xxx
Why do you have to pour so high up?
With Silicone ... it is recommended as it will reduce air bubbles. The air gets knocked out when you pour from a height. 😁😁
@@ClairesCraftyCorner thanks for sharing all your tips and tricks. I have learned so much from you!!
@@kimclayton5814 ❤️❤️❤️ thank you that's so amazing to hear xx
u said u do the video as u go so we see it all what about the voice over? why dont un do what others do and talk as u are filming
The video would be 2 hours long
