BMW M6 GT3 Testing - Twin-Turbo 4.4L V8 Sound With Nice Turbo Noises and Exhaust Overrun!

The last BMW video for now, I promise. In my last video you saw the M4 GT3 testing during the same day as this M6. Both owned and raced/ rented out by Koopman Racing. Seeing predecessor and successor up close during the same trackday was a pretty cool experience.
Debuting in the 2016 season, the M6 GT3 saw quite the lengthy career, having been replaced only as recently as 2022. The car was very succesful all over the world, notably winning big races such as the Spa 24h (twice), the Nürburgring 24h and the FIA World Cup Macau. It also faired well in DTM's first season under GT3 regulations but at that point, not many drivers were still sporting the M6 and those who did were happy to see the much newer M4 GT3 come into play a year later.
The car is powered by a 4.4L twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 producing up to 585 horsepower and it weighs 1300kg (2866 lbs). Its successor managed to get that weight down, the power increased and the drivability improved.
