- Onboard POV of my first laps at the Yas Marina Circuit in a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup car. The car was very oversteery, but with the right feedback we managed to fix this for raceweekend.

This is awesome. I wish sim racing could capture this kind of excitement (without 10 grand in peripherals). I think the way the camera follows every little head movement 👌
VR fixes a lot of the visual issues, wouldnt want to race endurance in VR, but for normal racing, it really helps.
You can also get buttkickers on your sim rig for some haptic feedback, both of these options are achievable upgrades for under 1k usd
Full motion is deff mad expensive though
That relies on game engine buddy, nothing outside of the game itself to produce that.
Racing in VR can be VERY immersive and exciting. I recommend it, on a modern or last gen headset minimum (I use Reverb G2, but want a Quest 3 soon)
I also use the G2 for like 3 years now. The 4k displays still hold up even today. I was looking at the Quest 3 but the Big Screen Beyond has caught my eye. Would be amazing for enduro racing! @@carscoffeeandcannabis-634

I wish I had an infinite supply on money to do this cause I would absolutely love every single moment of it. Hearing the Porsche like that after thousands of sim hours driving it is unreal. I would give anything to drive a lap around abu dhabi in that car!
YAS Marina Abu Dhabi circuit is a great example of an all around track with esses and two long straights and a couple of double apexes, it’s no wonder F1 and other classes race here. ❤❤❤

do these cup car have decent aerodynamic changes with ride height , like it GT3/GTE race cars ?
Or ride height is kept at lowest , since i believe its quite high up from ground already even at lowest settings

Hello Dirk, small question: to remove the "Fuel warning" from the screen in iRacing, you have to press and hold a certain button on the steering wheel for 2 seconds, is that also the case in your car?

I was at the track on Thursday doing a tour of yas marina, when i was at the pits the race teams let me in to see the GT3 cars. It was an unbelievable experience to see in person. Wish i could have made the race

Do you race on the sim? What’s ur setup?
HI, I just started getting in to sim racing, and been enjoying driving the Porsche CUP 3 GT3 car on Assetor Corsea and racing on Spar track. What does it take to get in to real world racing? I been using a sim setup for a couple months now and been learning the basic, for example, Tyre pressuer/ setting up the car, Getting better at driving and learing differnet breaking techniques and how to conroner better and get better times. I am currently been pushing around 2:24 on Spar with my Sim racing and don't know if that is good or not, but I been practising. Have you got any pro tips and what it takes getting in to racing and thanks.

Fun fact: UAE RMC championship has one race on the calendar which happens on the f1 circuit. Theres a special layout for karts only.

Thanks! I only really look at the dash when I am on the straights, then I have all the time to remove the water level alarm.

Never understood the hate for this track once they added the two hairpins. You ever had the chance to race at Dubai or Kuwait? From what I've seen they both look like cool tracks.

I know one thing Raceroom racing has the sound down perfect on the GT3 Porsche. It sounds exactly the same.
