the script it reading the queue and correcting the error so it changes frequency until the correction is made, so while it is a loop the script is correcting it after reading that you receive the exp but it still supplies the exp while correcting the script making a short loop where the exp received is given repeatedly at smaller intervals each time until the script corrects it, it takes longer if the problem arise in combat or with multiple movement and npcs in the area to correct than if you have cleared an area or the npcs are stationary.
I hate the music if you have the radio off, but you should get radio silence mod, it doesn’t make any music come out for you to listen to the ambiance, I love the ambiance.
Knightmares You don’t need a mod for that because if you go to settings you can just turn down the “Music” volume which is different from the “Radio” volume.
I actually use the Place Anywhere mod along with Conquest to turn the second building Ox explored into a safehouse of sorts. Wired a large gene on the roof to a powered door blocking the one that had the chimes, and used wooden walls to block off the entryways in the building it connects to via the catwalks, effectively turning it into my own little antighoul panic building. This is also because I run the Zombie Walkers and Curser of Darkness, so I have little safe houses dotted all over the map.
The only problem would be the gouls will keep respawning and they seem to be spread out all over the "settlement" and would spawn inside your buildings.
Oxhorn! All these videos are seriously a blessing to have, haven’t played fallout 4 in a while but after coming back to these videos I’m eager to jump into the world again! Can’t wait for Fallout 76, Starfield, & Elder Scrolls VI. Stay awesome my friend, and keep up the great content!
5 years later starfield finally came out and its a buggy mess according to some people who have played it lmao. 76 was awful and took months or even over a year just to get better. idk about elder scrolls doe
Mindy Auron ah, good old Deacon. He actually follows you throughout the game, until you either join the Railroad or kill it. I used a mod that made him into a woman, and that confirmed it. Only one male-voiced female scavenger in Good Neighbor.
When that one protectron was destroyed I had to go re watch the video on Roosevelt Academy and witness the harrowing death of Dean Dewey. Easily the saddest moment in the Fallout series.
Oxhorn you were asking about the random EXP? Up the street North East of where all those mines on the road? There is always a random battle fought out in that ruined building along that road up to the Corvega plant. Most my play through the Children of Atom hang out in it and battle Raiders, BoS etc etc. You might have had a faction you're sided with fighting them and somehow you were getting credit for it. When I side with the BoS and they fight those Children of Atom. I always got EXP credit for it.
Also when I first played fallout when I heard the lore behind ghouls I thought that they are the most saddest enemy if you think about it. They are crazed irradiated peaple forever tormented by the pain of life in a destroyed world. Forever in a state of immortality. Not knowing what they did. And if you're a Christian then their souls are not in heaven. They are the saddest enemy and I think killing them is mercy to end their suffering. I just wanted to tell you what I thought
@@Bir-doll Well not really, as Super mutants are not feral and are still sentient/self aware. Only a minority of super mutants lose their sentience, with time they go feral, they also grow, these are the Behemoths. Most super mutants however keep their sentience, despite the fact you forget your past human life apart from the odd memory/flashbacks, you still have the ability to create new memories and learn. Depending on how clean your blood is when you get exposed to FEV, if you are mutated correctly, you can maintain high levels of intelligence when you become a super mutant, hence why if you were a genius human, if you mutate correctly and have no radiation in your blood, you will be a genius super mutant. Most people however have radiated blood and mutate incorrectly. People who mutate like this will become the dumb ones, some depending on their DNA will mutate in a way that means in time they will become Behemoths and eventually go feral (sometimes they can mutate really incorrectly and instead become Centaurs. But the dumb ones that don't have the ability to become Behemoths and are simply just dumb, are still capable of learning, with time and effort they can gain almost near normal human levels of intelligence. But even the ones that don't and remain dumb, are still sentient. Technically supermutant are still human, most are therefore just dumb humans. You wouldn't kill a human for just being dumb. Nevermind the super mutants that still remain very intelligent. So in summary, the only super mutants that are akin to feral ghouls, are Behemoths. Speaking of centaurs, they make the mutant dogs of fallout 4 really stupid, it's established that some super mutants, like some humans, do like to have pets, but the idea that super mutants would waste FEV on dogs is stupid, fallout New Vegas answer to mutant pets is better and way more scary therefore fitting the lore. Centeurs are just humans who mutated not just incorrectly but outright terribly, but still somehow survived and instead of being put down by the mutants like most FEV mutations that fail that badly, they were instead accepted by super mutants as pets. Super mutant dogs are just ridiculous. I suppose the idea is that the Boston mutants where made by the institute, and the institute would have been curious about FEVs effects on dogs, but it's still a wasted opportunity to not bring back centeurs.
Swish Fish That was my initial thought, too, but the experience gained doesn’t match up with ghouls. Killing normal feral ghouls got him 10 experience, but the mystery experience came in doses of 7.
Awesome video, as always! Couple of things: I remember reading on the Fallout lore subreddit (so pinch of salt etc) that guns in pre-war USA were pretty rare because of the resource scarcity, so regular people made pipe weapons, too, that's why they are so common. I assume they were illegal and that explains why they're often hidden in safes etc. A quick Google gives me little, but maybe you can figure out some more. I wouldn't mind at all if you used noclip on characters without jetpacks to explore (jetpack-assisted) reachable areas (for example the roof of the building with the blue locked door). And finally, I was wondering, could we maybe get the "End of dungeon steamer trunk" print on... Underwear? Please? Cheers!
Seeing Ghoul attack scenes like this really makes me wonder what a zombie apocalypse Bethesda game could be like. I like the concept primarily because they are the type of developers to add context and story to every tragedy, which would create a very eerie, sad feeling that other zombie games miss. I know zombie games get bad reps because the market for them is super saturated but i honestly feel like Bethesda could be the ones to do it right. Not to mention the survival and scavenging systems that would be pretty neato. Honestly, I'll accept any Bethesda game, they're great 👍
Med-x is just renamed morphine, they couldn’t sell in some countrys because morphine is a addictive drug irl, so they renamed it med-x. There is one for you.
Hey Oxhorn, I haven't played much Fo4 since I beat it durring original release but with the Fallout hype going on I've gone back and tried to do things I didn't do before and I must say I've listened to so many of your lore videos and I really really appreciate the work and attention to detail you put into your videos. You make me realize I've missed so much. Keep it up my dude!
Ada comments on scrap being "museum quality pieces" and suggests you "take as much as you can carry." I think she (and by extension, other automatron robots) and Deacon are the only ones though.
no Piper is very positive when picking up scrape she will say well if anyone can make use of it, it's you, or what's that for, or things along these lines Hancock is also positive about picking up old world scrap
I honestly adore how you use the TV for showing pictures and such from the real world for comparison and things. It's kinda a small thing and probably pretty annoying to edit but its excellent attention to detail. I think it really shows how dedicated you are to these videos. I honestly can't wait to be able to support you by buying the do you know your history shirt, it's probably my favorite one so far.
Oxhorn is my life. It's like listening to an audiobook about a fallout post apocalyptic wasteland , and sometimes some detective stories from L.A. Noire
Skunky the skunk omg! Right?! Sometimes when I’m cleaning my house, I’ll have UA-cam on the tv on loud just so I can continue hearing him tell Fallout stories. ^-^ I watch his videos while I run at the gym too. They distract me and make me forget I’m at the gym. Haha.
Ox I’m a janitor so I’ll oftentimes just put your videos on my phone and put it in my pocket and just listen to your soothing voice as I make my rounds throughout the building. It’s quite pleasing.
Yes!! A new fallout 4 video!! I just cleared this location for the brotherhood like 3 days ago and it never fails, you make a video and show me all the stuff I missed lol. I even started clearing everything out better because I always see so much that I missed in your videos and have to go back!!
I find it odd that you found Ricca above ground, but no other raiders up top. However, on my play through, there was some 10 to 15 Raider corpses(including that of Ricca) littered around the square. I never went into the station.
I think the mother was teaching the child to use the toilet, but while doing so it dropped its rattle into the toilet, her final moments were her reaching for it.
Oxhorn, you have become one of my favourite channels in under a month. You're videos are amazing. They're like a mix of documentary and story-telling which is an addictive cocktail for content. I love the Fallout series and your videos just further that. Thank you for the work you do.
no one noticed as he entered College Square that Deacon says "Raiders used to live here, can't say I miss them? It points out that raiders did infact inhabit the Square and were probably pushed out by the ghouls
Information about Ricca can be found in several notes throughout the area. The journal scrap near Tad's corpse in College Square Station mentions that Ricca has died and the gang was forced to retreat into the station to escape the onslaught of ghouls. One of the letters found on a dead man wearing a postman uniform on the roof of a building near Trinity Tower mentions Ricca having taken over the gang, and doing a bad job of running things...In USAF Satellite Station Olivia, the player can overhear a conversation between two raiders. One is lashing the other, because of the intentions of the latter of joining Ricca's gang (thus, dropping out of his current one) in College Square Station.
I am in awe of how hard you work to create immersive and in-depth videos every week, it’s amazing! Keep doing what you do, and I look forward to seeing more!
I think you get random experience sometimes because the game usually gives the player xp when a hostile npc kills accidentally kills itself so if hostile npc's kill each other the game will count it as the player somehow causing it to happen. This happens to me a lot in areas with a lot of hostile npc's like down town Boston.
This is why I love your videos ox I have been here so many times it’s unreal and Iv never seen the ramp made from the car onto the news stand you show all the details in ever location and even tho I explore I’m not as thorough as you are it’s nice to see everything I miss
Sometimes there’s a fight between raiders and there’s mines up the road. They might of blow themselves up But another settlement is in need of your help, I’ll mark it on your map
3:49 As for the random xp gain, I've had it happen when I pass near one of my settlements that was in the process of defending itself from creatures. 7xp is what you get when you kill or an ally kill a base enemy.
Ox, I love your videos. You've gotten me through a bad time in my life and I love waking up and seeing a new video from you because I've watched most of your videos multiple times. But I also let them play while I fall asleep because you're voice is so relaxing. You got a good talent for what you do. You could be doing bigger and better things but I respect you for not changing. I will watch you no matter what you do and I will always support you.
I noticed this happening several times, and finally for me it turned out I was getting XP from one of my provisioners. If I was nearby when it killed something/someone I received the XP. Don't know if this is what is happening this time or not.
I interpreted the bit at 19:30 as perhaps the baby had accidentally thrown/dropped the rattle into the toilet and the mother was reaching in to retrieve it when the bombs dropped. Perhaps the teddy bear represents the child who died with her.
If memory serves, only the BoS Cleansing the Commonwealth radiant quests will ever send you here intentionally, but it's a fabulous area for early characters to get tons of mats and xp. Excellent video as always, Ox!
Hey oxhorn the random xp is common. I experienced it many times. While I don't know for sure what caused it I think it was because the game gliched or the game thought that a trap like the mines there were yours. I have many more but those I think help.
imagine that. The last thing you do before being obliterated by atomic annihilation, pulling a baby rattle out of a toilet because your kid dropped it in there.
I’ve been binge watching your videos ever since I rediscovered your vault videos a few weeks ago. I really love your content!! I also love the little history and education lessons. I recommended your video about the vampires to my family because of the cool real-life implications of drinking blood! I told them “wanna learn something new!? Watch this video!” Keep up the good work!! :D your videos are awesome and you make Fallout interesting rather than just being gameplay recordings.
Interesting lil area! Also coming over here after watching the Deacon video and going through the comments I’m glad Deacon tagging along was foreshadowing to his new video, thank you Oxhorn!
You wake up early in the morning for school,Go through a normal day nothing particularly different about it,you get home from school have your favorite snack etc,you lay down on your bed or sit at your desk pull up UA-cam and get that oxhorn notification life is good
By the way I love your content and I believe I might have commented on this at some point before but in case you didn't know my dog has really bad separation anxiety and I play your videos while I'm at work and it calms him down because he likes your voice. Thank you for helping with my dog's anxiety
BossGAMIN LORDYT 3 words can explain dogmeat 1: stands dumber than a door in a doorway 2: basically invincible 3: cute a fluffy as a 50. Cal machine gun (not really) 4: helps with settlements in need of your help, I’ll mark it on your map
Dear Oxhorn, I just wanted to let you know that I love your videos, especially the long episodes. I listen to your work while I am out on my vigorous runs and your story telling voice and deep detail allow me to put my device in a safe place while running but still be immersed in the fallout universe. I have to listen to the ads all the way through but I don't even mind XD I hope they are paying out, haha. Please keep it up! I love what you do.
Finally you have a character not hiding behind power armor. That's good. Another informative vid. I've been watching a lot of these during this COVID shut down
Yay more fo4 lore! I never fully played the other fo's besides a quick playthrough.(I still enjoy the videos on them) So I am glad your doing another fo4 lore vid, especially since it seems you done a video for everything in fo4. Keep up the good work!
The random XP gain seems to be a common bug. It happens to me almost every time I play, ranging from 10-18 XP every time. I’ve seen it happen with some other Fallout UA-camrs who get about the same amount you do, but I’ve never seen it happen so many times at once. I’m just assuming it’s an error on Bethesda’s part, since my companions were with me and didn’t kill anything.
College Square Station Key is for locked door 21:37 (owned, red), if you got the key, door turns from "owned (red)" to "unowned (green)". Just my 5 cents.
In my experience with Fallout 4, random XP is earnt when nearby allies kill enemies. I usually experience it when travelling in built up city areas and come across a Brotherhood of Steel patrol or a allied robot. Excellent channel Oxhorn.
been through there at least a dozen times (probably more), never actually looked into the raider notes. so thank you for uncovering some hidden lore about the square!
Oxhorn usually when you are in a populated area such as downtown Boston you will randomly get experience for merely being around a fight or cars exploding, that's what probably happened at college square
3:45 I get experience some of the time for doing nothing, but I think it is because companion characters or deaths of enemies caused by explosions or traps triggers experience that directly is given to you.
30:30 - What you may not have noticed about this spot is that sometimes during a Settlement Quest a Raider hostage will be held here... luckily still alive. But unless this quest is triggered no one will of course be there. I had such a quest myself there just a few days ago.
the game can delay trap exp sometimes it might be from the tin cans you looted mainly happens with tripwires and tin cans. It queues it up and gets stuck in a loop till the script corrects it.
roe that's what I was thinking
I've found that it happens with locks sometimes, too.
roe That would make sense, as it was the same amount of experience, but the timing seems odd. The experience came in several waves. 3 doses of exp, short pause, 2 doses of exp, longer pause, 1 dose of exp. If it were caught in a loop, wouldn’t it be staggered more evenly?
roe Yeah usually follow games have those kind of glitches so if it was just that I would not be surprised
the script it reading the queue and correcting the error so it changes frequency until the correction is made, so while it is a loop the script is correcting it after reading that you receive the exp but it still supplies the exp while correcting the script making a short loop where the exp received is given repeatedly at smaller intervals each time until the script corrects it, it takes longer if the problem arise in combat or with multiple movement and npcs in the area to correct than if you have cleared an area or the npcs are stationary.
Pointing out Deacon's quotes allowing his audio? Deacon profile in near future? 😍😍😍
Negative Creep i hope so too deacon was such awesome personality hahah a guy i would wanna share a beer with if he would drink at least a little
Negative Creep Didn't He already get A Profile?Or is that Just me?
No that was just him creeping on you I believe
Negative Creep Creeping on me?I don't get it.I've never played the Game, even though I own it.
Ender katze uh, spoiler?
Deacon will don disguises in certain cities in the commonwealth and spy on you it's a pretty fun hide and seek game
I love the environmental music in fo4.
Diesel1919 I liked it too, but liked the far harbour ones better
Smiffew I like the Nuka World because each park has its own music
I hate the music if you have the radio off, but you should get radio silence mod, it doesn’t make any music come out for you to listen to the ambiance, I love the ambiance.
Knightmares You don’t need a mod for that because if you go to settings you can just turn down the “Music” volume which is different from the “Radio” volume.
TriPanda I know you could do that, but I don’t want to keep on going to the settings turning on and off constantly, but I know what you mean.
College square would've made such a good settlement
Push the busses to make blockaids, near greygarden for food...
Cerelia Feiyin Did you mention a SETTLEMENT?
Well I know a few that are need of your help, I’ll mark it on your map
Whole world is a settlement. Preston is expanding on Mars.
Preston here, a settlement is being overrun with gouls. Here let me mark it on your map.

Bringing Deacon along ended up being even more amusing that I coulda hoped. Even if sadly partially at his expense. God I love him
"DEACON! If I make fire you stay away from the fire!"
Mindy Auron why do i see you everywhere?
On my first playthrough Dogmeat had a strange interest for the laser tripwires in Jamaica Plain...
KillerPigeon I’m like the wind: all around even if you can’t see me (~o.o)~

There's quite a few little bits in College Square that are only accessible with a jetpack. Check the higher rooftops.

But I hear another settlement needs your help, I’ll mark it on your map
Josh De Long Josh? Are you alright you talk like preston garvey
KILLEKIRAHVI
He's a synth! Get him!! >:O
It’s amazing how many videos you have of locations and still haven’t covered them all. Keep up the good work Ox!
What a great way to begin the day with my boi, Oxhorn. Your voice is on point my dude. Love it.
E
rRONNIE wWHAT IS WRONG
rRONNIE Lol! I was going to say that.
Not pushed out, slaughtered
That experience gained that could be caused by your supply lines and those people killing bad guys
I am in awe of how hard you work to create immersive and in-depth videos every week, it’s amazing! Keep doing what you do, and I look forward to seeing more!
I think you might have been following a Railroad trail or a radio frequency. That’s the only time I’ve ever noticed getting XP for no apparent reason.
I love Ox’s battle commentary. “Oh, I got to reload! Wait, where’d he go? ...........There he is.”
I hear the call of the Beard, and I answered!
Narrator IL It said come and see and I saw! And behold! A black beard! And the owner, none other than Ox himself.
You may of heard the call of the Beard
But I hear that another settlement is in need of your help, I’ll mark it on your map
I have yet to visit Concord so ha
I think you get random experience sometimes because the game usually gives the player xp when a hostile npc kills accidentally kills itself so if hostile npc's kill each other the game will count it as the player somehow causing it to happen. This happens to me a lot in areas with a lot of hostile npc's like down town Boston.
Seriously oxhorn?! spicy chicken McNuggets?!
This is why I love your videos ox I have been here so many times it’s unreal and Iv never seen the ramp made from the car onto the news stand you show all the details in ever location and even tho I explore I’m not as thorough as you are it’s nice to see everything I miss
I think the reason of the Xp u got randomly is because maybe some members of a fraction you are in killed some enemies
Sometimes there’s a fight between raiders and there’s mines up the road.
They might of blow themselves up
But another settlement is in need of your help, I’ll mark it on your map
3:49 As for the random xp gain, I've had it happen when I pass near one of my settlements that was in the process of defending itself from creatures. 7xp is what you get when you kill or an ally kill a base enemy.
Oxhorn yes, Notification bell on deck
I love the way his sniper reloads, it’s so smooth
I've been waiting for this. Thanks
Fallout 76 hype
Justin Y. This has less than 1k views......how?
Justin Y. Wait You're a fallout Fan?
Damn you here to
Justin Y. Bro I thought you stopped .. you should .. your comments just blow now man . You put no effort into that comment .. just sad ..
You watch Ox too. Good choice.
(even though you probably watch or at lest comment on 90% of videos on YT)
I interpreted the bit at 19:30 as perhaps the baby had accidentally thrown/dropped the rattle into the toilet and the mother was reaching in to retrieve it when the bombs dropped. Perhaps the teddy bear represents the child who died with her.
I love you ❤️😦 please acknowledge me I watch your doc morbid video every night for sleep
I love that video too! I wish he'd do more Fallout 1 stuff.
Well that sounds a bit morbid
Could you do a story on Harold the talking tree in fallout 3
He should start that in fo1 for the full story
I like it when ox is more relaxed and cracks joke.
What knife are you using?
I’ve been binge watching your videos ever since I rediscovered your vault videos a few weeks ago. I really love your content!! I also love the little history and education lessons. I recommended your video about the vampires to my family because of the cool real-life implications of drinking blood! I told them “wanna learn something new!? Watch this video!”
Keep up the good work!! :D your videos are awesome and you make Fallout interesting rather than just being gameplay recordings.
"Ammo isnt cheap, we can pay you to play dead" huh????
Xuimma Sleeping I know, that doesn't make sense.
He said "can we pay you to play dead?". Does that make more sense?
Alan Anzo Dude, he’s saying that he’d rather pay them to play dead, rather than spend money on ammunition in the near future.
NoSkope _
Indeed. Deacon is all about the nonsense sarcasm, most folks don't speak his "language".
Interesting lil area!
Also coming over here after watching the Deacon video and going through the comments I’m glad Deacon tagging along was foreshadowing to his new video, thank you Oxhorn!
Love your vids

By the way I love your content and I believe I might have commented on this at some point before but in case you didn't know my dog has really bad separation anxiety and I play your videos while I'm at work and it calms him down because he likes your voice. Thank you for helping with my dog's anxiety

Dear Oxhorn,
I just wanted to let you know that I love your videos, especially the long episodes.
Here before the notifications ;)
Ever fired a Minigun before?
Chews through ferals like paper
More L. A. Noire please
Finally you have a character not hiding behind power armor. That's good. Another informative vid. I've been watching a lot of these during this COVID shut down
OH SHITE IM 44 MINUTES LATE BECAUSE I WAS WATCHING MEEEEEEMEMEE AH NOOO ;-;
Possibly Sellerie another settlement needed your help, I’ll mark a new one on your map
Josh De Long A wild Preston Has Appeared!! :0
I love the way how you interact with the game.
I’m early
Yay more fo4 lore! I never fully played the other fo's besides a quick playthrough.(I still enjoy the videos on them) So I am glad your doing another fo4 lore vid, especially since it seems you done a video for everything in fo4. Keep up the good work!
Your vids are one of the only ones that I actually enjoy and I’m in the mood to watch them anytime. Keep up the good work!!!
I love watching you just go through dungeons and just talk
20:23 "take that, lock!"
Deacon
The random XP gain seems to be a common bug. It happens to me almost every time I play, ranging from 10-18 XP every time. I’ve seen it happen with some other Fallout UA-camrs who get about the same amount you do, but I’ve never seen it happen so many times at once. I’m just assuming it’s an error on Bethesda’s part, since my companions were with me and didn’t kill anything.
Oxhorn, you started getting random experience points because the game was acknowledging the greatness of your videos.
the random xp probably came from the mines killing the ghouls. that's the best bet.
"Deacon Firewalker"
great vid as always
College Square Station Key is for locked door 21:37 (owned, red), if you got the key, door turns from "owned (red)" to "unowned (green)". Just my 5 cents.
The noise ox makes at 7:58 probably made me laugh harder then I should.
And when we looked at our watch we noticed it was 2:30am and we spent three hours watching oxhorn fallout lore videos
How Oxhorn narrates is like a bed time story to me.
