    Really like the shape of your crown stop. Easy to see the degree marks.

    That truck in NY, at 14 years would have been in the junk yard rusted 2 times over. The body life span in NY is about 7 years when the rust really stars to get dreadful. Great design on your tables! Well done.

    Outstanding! I love the fact that it breaks down quickly. I have a small garage, and when things aren't being used, they have to be put away, unfortunately. This is perfect... I'm sure your subscribers would appreciate the plans you used to build this. 👍

    Yeh I used to live in Ohio. All the salt and humidity. It seems like from about the middle of Kansas and west we don't have a problem with rust. But we do have dry skin and breathing issues due to altitude and dry air. Guess there's no perfect place. Thanks for the comments

    Pretty cool idea. Yeah you cant beat the mobility. But the fact that you can break the Dewalt stand down and store them out of the way is great. I even mounted a 80lb WEN planer on one of them.

    Yes I use their zero clearance fence in my miter saw. They didn’t make anything for the Dewalt rolling stand. But I have not checked lately. Thanks for the comment

      Best solution for wings I've seen! I've been trying to find something simple to set up and use for my cart. Thank you for sharing.
      I actually heard from a customer when I went into business over 20 years ago that he knew I'd do a nice job when I pulled up and he saw my van and the inside. I asked why and he said as you did. You take care of your vehicle and are very organized. I've never forgotten that.

      @@payakadventures thanks for the comments. Spencer with Inside Carpentry also has some similar wings. He installed a T track system to lock down his crown stop.

  • @-Kreger-
    @-Kreger- 2 роки тому

    Looks like a great design. I also like Spencer’s version. I use the rolling stand as well. I’ve debated a few times to go to the non rolling. On your wings, do the legs lock into the open position? Or do you ever have any problems with them shifting? Thanks for sharing your ideas.

    • @homecraftsolutions3506
      @homecraftsolutions3506  2 роки тому +1

      The legs on mine swing free. Once you lock down the sliding support bar the legs never fold up or change position. I mostly use these on concrete and almost always in someones garage so wind is never a factor. They are quite sturdy. I made a video on how I made them also. Thanks for your comments

    • @homecraftsolutions3506
      @homecraftsolutions3506  Рік тому

      the legs i got from Harbor Freight and just didn't use the swing out leg on it. I also cut off a part that stuck out on the legs so they would lay flat when folded in. Look under Homecraft Solutions for another video explaining the details of this. Thanks for the comments.

    Did that stand come with rollers on the support arms, or did you add those after you bought the stand?

    • @homecraftsolutions3506
      @homecraftsolutions3506  2 роки тому

      yes it did. its from Harbor freight. I took out the roller and the side leg and ground off the bracket that held the side leg. Hope that explains it.

    • @rickeyl.mcspaddenii4729
      @rickeyl.mcspaddenii4729 2 роки тому

      @@homecraftsolutions3506 I meant to ask if the DewaltDWX726 miter saw stand came with those material rollers or if you added them?

    • @homecraftsolutions3506
      @homecraftsolutions3506  2 роки тому

      Some of the earlier DWX 726 stands came with rollers. They must have had problems with them or decided to cut the cost of manufacturing by using just a TBar instead. So the top of the bar now is just a 1” or so hollow steel tube welded to the vertical square bar that slides into a square receiver bar. Then there is a knob that you can loosen or tighten to raise or lower the Tbar. I ended up cutting a few inches of the back part of the horizontal part of that Tbar to allow the wooden wings to come forward enough.

      Yes i saw his wing extensions. I might include some T tracks in the future to lock in my crown stop. I think that was a great idea. I fit all my tools in the bed of that truck in the video so i need to stay as compact as possible. Thanks for your comments
