Is there Science in the Vedas? Lecture by Prof KENNETH ZYSK

What is Science? What are Vedas? Can the two words be put together in a meaningful way? After opening remarks by Professor Zysk and a few examples from the Vedic context which might suggest a Scientific spirit of enquiry, there will be an open exploratory discussion. This session is jointly organized with the Department of Pali and Buddist Studies, SPPU.
Prof. Kenneth Zysk is a Professor at the Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies, University of Copenhagen, currently visiting the Department of Pali and Buddist Studies, SPPU. He has worked extensively on cross-cultural aspects of Indian medicine.
